It seems that the Mortal Kombat 11 roster is growing larger with each passing week. Kotal Kahn was revealed yesterday (honestly, it was more of a reveal for Jacqui Briggs since she won the fight). And today, NetherRealm has given us a first look at another new fighter, Noob Saibot. You can see his full announcement trailer down below:
Noob Saibot has been a fan-favorite in the Mortal Kombat series ever since his debut in MK 2. His move-set shown above is what you would expect for the former Sub-Zero as Noob uses many portals to quickly get across the stage. Personally, I believe Johnny Cage’s fatality in his reveal was better but, Noob’s was pretty brutal as well. The character was missing in 2015’s Mortal Kombat X and never appeared in its DLC, despite the popularity of the character. Although his absence in MKX was disappointing, fans can rest easy knowing Noob Saibot will return to the MK roster this April.
Speaking of DLC, NetherRealm also announced some DLC news for Mortal Kombat 11. The main antagonist of the first Mortal Kombat and master sorcerer, Shang Tsung, will be Mortal Kombat 11’s first DLC character. He will be based on Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa’s version of the character in the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie. Shang Tsung will also be a major component of MK 11’s The Krypt (where you can unlock concept art, fatalities, alternate costumes, etc. for your fighters).
