William Rabillo of Fernley has gone above and beyond in helping his Mom get by. The Nevada based 13-year-old has traded in his Xbox in order to buy his mom a car. On top of that, the inspirational young man also completed a range of yard work in order to raise the required funds.
In a post on her Facebook account, William’s mother Krystal Preston described the amazing day she had:
“My son had a job today that he had to go do and so I allowed him to go assuming it was like any other time. Well this time was different. Very different. William came home and said ‘Mom I bought you a car’.”
Assuming it was a joke, Preston laughed it off at first but realized quickly that her son really had done something incredible.
“And much to my surprise I go in my front yard and OMG there is a women standing there . So as I’m still thinking at this point [this is] still a joke. We pull up to this house and William says ‘Mom that’s your car’.”
The proud mother of three quickly got overwhelmed by the situation:
“I completely lost it. I started balling my eyes out.. I am speechless my 13 year old son bought me a car.” She finished off the status by saying: “I am so proud of my son… William I love you son and thank you.”
This moving story has reached the hearts of many with the family has started a very successful Fundraiser page. As of writing this, they have managed to raise over $7,000 in just four days. I’m sure as knowledge of William’s journey to get his mom a car continues to grow, their Fundraiser will too.
Let’s just hope that William gets a brand new Xbox back with the Fundraiser money. After all, there’s no doubt he deserves it.
