Jennifer Lopez may be planning to make a huge move this holiday season. The singer is said to be plotting some Thanksgiving and Christmas events that involve her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, and their blended family. JLo reportedly wants to spend the holiday season with Ben, despite the fact that she filed for divorce from the actor back in August. However, he’s allegedly not looking forward to any awkward encounters.
According to the November 22 print edition of Heat World, Jennifer Lopez has her sights set on winning Ben Affleck back. She’s allegedly planning to use the holidays as an excuse to spend as much time with the Gone Girl star as possible, and she’s bringing their kids along for the ride. Sources tell the magazine that Lopez wants to host a big dinner, which will include herself and her two children Max and Emme. She also wants Affleck and his former wife, Jennifer Garner there. Of course, their children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel will also be invited.
JLo allegedly doesn’t care if it will be an awkward situation for those involved. She’s reportedly not backing down when it comes to her family-first holiday agenda, and Ben seemingly can’t say no to his ex.
Jennifer Lopez Insists On Spending Holidays With Ben Affleck Amid Divorce
“Jen is offering to host a big dinner and doesn’t seem to care how awkward it will be, not just for her and Ben, but also for Jennifer Garner, who will have to be there, too,” the insider dished. “Ben will be stuck in the middle trying to keep them both happy. It’s going to be complete chaos if she gets her way, but he doesn’t know how to say no. She’s made it very clear that she has no intention of backing down – her reasoning is that it would be unfair to the kids to take this away from them, so it’s very hard to argue with her.”
Affleck is allegedly now in panic mode. He doesn’t want to spend the holidays with Lopez, who is said to want a reconciliation. Now, he’s turning to Garner for guidance and help. However, he’s worried that if he tells JLo that he wants nothing to do with her holiday plans there will be serious backlash.
The pair are still navigating their divorce. Because they didn’t have a prenup in place, things are a bit more difficult. Meanwhile, Garner is said to be stuck in the middle of all of the drama. She doesn’t want to spend the holidays navigating the tension between Ben and JLo. Sadly, Affleck’s hands may be tied when it comes to spending the family-oriented holidays with his ex-wives.
It was previously reported that JLo has an unhealthy obsession with Affleck. In Touch Weekly sources claim that the singer is going to great lengths to keep tabs on her ex. She’s even allegedly created a Google alert so that she can get all of the latest news about him.
“She claims to be moving on from Ben, the truth is quite the opposite. She’s still totally obsessed with him and even has Google Alerts set up for his name, which is just beyond unhealthy,” an insider dished.
It remains to be seen if Ben Affleck will cave and end up spending the holidays with Jennifer Lopez. Their children would likely enjoy each other’s company. However, JLo and Ben may find it awkward to pretend they’re a happy family as they continue the divorce process.
