Melanie Brown is questioning the circumstances surrounding her ex-fiancé Aaron Carter’s death five months later. Following the release of the former Dancing with the Stars contestant Aaron Carter’s official cause of death, Melanie gave an interview to share her take on the autopsy results.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office revealed that Aaron died by drowning while under the influence of difluoroethane and alprazolam. The reports claimed the Dancing with the Stars alum ended up incapacitated in the bathtub after inhaling the drugs, ultimately leading him to slip under the water’s surface as the psychoactive and sedative effects of the substances kicked in.
Melanie Brown Reacts To Aaron Carter’s Cause Of Death
However, rather than find closure in these revelations, Melanie has revealed the autopsy report confirming Aaron’s cause of death, in fact, raised more questions. Speaking to TMZ, she divulged:
“It claims death is by drowning but also adds he was wearing a t-shirt and necklace in the bathtub which doesn’t make sense. Why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on?”
Going further, Melanie Brown, who shares her son Prince with Aaron Carter, admitted she still misses him every day. While she still had challenges understanding the chain of events, the reports of his cause of death raises even more questions.
Aaron died on November 5 of what has since been ruled a drug-related drowning accident. Long before the determination of Aaron Carter’s cause of death, his family and most of the world suspected a possible drug overdose. At the time of his death, officers discovered prescription pills and drug paraphernalia littered in his bedroom, leading them to suspect he had lost consciousness and drowned.
Despite his family’s belief that a drug overdose resulted in his death, Aaron’s mom has since revealed she also suspected foul play. In a cryptic Facebook post, the aggrieved mom pointed out that, leading to his death, her son had been the subject of death threats. Hence, she hoped the police looked into the incident from all possible angles, as all she wanted was to get a real investigation into her son’s death.
