After Aaron Carter’s death, reports said he died without a will. However, there is now no uncertainty about who will inherit his estate. Aaron Carter’s son, Prince, who is only a year old, will inherit his estate. Aaron Carter’s estate is one of the most prized possessions he left behind as he was to be in a financial mess before his departure.
Family Decides Aaron Carter’s Son to Inherit His Estate
Aaron died on November 5 at his home in Lancaster, California. In accordance with California law, Prince automatically owns the singer’s property. Besides the law that states that when a parent dies without a will, the child/children of the parent automatically inherit the properties, Aaron’s family wants this for his child. Aaron’s spokesman exclusively told HollywoodLife that Aaron’s mom, Jane Carter, and his entire family decided to give Aaron Carter’s estate to Prince, as Aaron would have wanted. While Aaron’s mom is yet to see her grandson, she told TMZ that she wants Prince to be well taken care of. She is also open to having a good relationship with the child and his mother.
Aaron Would Have Been A Great Dad
Before the former Dancing With The Stars contestant’s death, he tried his best to be a responsible father to his son. Even though he struggled with mental health issues and alcohol addiction, he consciously took steps to be stable and reunite with his family. Aaron was in an on-and-off relationship with his fiancé Melanie Martin, Prince’s mother. The pair broke up and made up many times before his untimely death.
Prince celebrated his first birthday on November 22, three weeks after his father’s terrible demise. It was a hard moment for the family, especially Melanie. However, the family all remembered the singer on that day. Hopefully, they will overcome Aaron’s death and live happily.
