Absolute Carnage has been a very eye-grabbing saga. With Carnage on the loose trying to awaken the Symbiote God Knull, every hero is battling his hordes to try and stop him from achieving his goal. Chief among Earth’s defenders is Eddie Brock, who when bonded with his symbiote becomes the Lethal Protector, Venom. Now, with Carnage growing ever more powerful, Eddie makes a stand against the villain in more ways than one.
Absolute Carnage #4 Spoilers Ahead
Absolute Carnage #3 saw the Venom symbiote separated from Eddie Brock. This backs Eddie into a corner as he tries to protect his son Dylan. Fortunately, a few words from Spider-Man get Brock back in the fight. With the Avengers present but immobilized, he must stall the enemy for the team until they can join the battle. Grabbing Captain America’s iconic shield and wielding an anti-symbiote gauntlet, Eddie prepares to buy the Avengers the time they need.
Meanwhile, the Hulk has been taken over by the Venom symbiote and is battling Carnage’s army. However, Carnage soon gains the upper hand and absorbs the Venom symbiote into himself. The villainous mastermind transforms, becoming nigh unstoppable. Furthermore, absorbing the Venom symbiote has put Carnage very close to freeing Knull. It appears as though the war is over and Absolute Carnage will reign supreme.
However, Eddie is not ready to give up. With his son’s life at risk and Carnage on the verge of victory, Brock makes a last-ditch effort to stop the villain. He runs over to the machine that houses the removed codices from the Avengers and breaks it. Consequently, not one but ALL of those freed symbiotes bond to Eddie. Brock hears the voices of the symbiotes’ former hosts, from Captain America to Wolverine and Thing. Thankfully, he retains control over this new union of minds and wills. Sprouting wings, Eddie Brock flies off to end this Absolute Carnage once and for all.
