A Michigan TikToker posted a video detailing her experience being accused of theft when shopping at Target. In the video, she describes how she asked to speak with a manager while she filmed the encounter with an employee. She calls on TikTok to “do that one thing” as the “staff embarrassed her.”

The video starts with the Michigan TikToker frustrated and mid-rant, saying, “yeah, I’m going to record. I’m going to sue the company.” She goes on to explain that the staff were sitting there “watching [them]” to see if they scanned their items.

However, she retorts that she doesn’t “want to have a good day,” and calls on the male employee to “say what [he] wants to say.” The Michigan TikToker continues by calling out the employee by saying, “I was stealing the items. That’s what you were saying, right?” The man tells her to “finish [her] transaction” before walking away.

The Michigan TikToker then speaks with a female employee who says, “I will not give you his name,” referring to the male employee. The employee continues with “his job is the security of our store.” The explanation given is that “it’s not personal. He does that to everybody, unfortunately.” The TikToker presses “but just to me,” which is rebuted by the employee who says “it has happened several times today.”

The situation continues with the Michigan TikToker pushing for further explanation. When the employee notices that she is recording, she asks the TikToker to leave. Before leaving, the employee stopped by the TikToker’s cart and said, “We are not going to sell you these.” She then explains that she “already bought them” and asks, “Did you just try and snatch my items?”

The employee told the Michigan TikToker to “call corporate’s number” before leaving. After the situation ended, the TikToker went into detail about how she scanned everything in her cart. She shows a pile of items that she “was going to buy as well,” but explains that the first employees kept watching her. She ends the video by saying the employees were “smiling like it’s cool.”

Michigan TikToker Receives Mixed Comments

The video posted received mixed reactions from the TikToker’s followers, primarily due to her choice of store. One commented that “we not supposed to be shopping at Target.” Another asked, “why you in there in the first plaaaaace?” A third went as far as to tell the Michigan TikToker, “Don’t feel sorry 4U. We R not supposed to be shopping at Target.”
