Spoiler Alert for the first season of HBO Max’s Peacemaker’s finale.

As DCEU fans know, both Batman and Cyborg’s Peacemaker cameos were cut from the season finale. The finale episode featured a surprise cameo from the DCEU’s Justice League, including Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash.

While Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller were able to reprise their roles, other actors were not. Actors Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot did not appear as their respective heroes, and Batman and Cyborg were cut entirely from the Peacemaker finale.

Actor Matt Turner has now revealed through his Instagram that he served as a stand-in for the Batman cameo. Both his and Cyborgs’s cameos were cut from the scene entirely, however. He claims that concerning the two cameos, only Gunn and Warner Brothers only know the answer.

Speculations about the Peacemaker Cameos

Although there are many speculations, it is no secret that Fischer and Affleck have their own issues with the studio. Even though Affleck is set to have a role in the upcoming movie in The Flash, he called filming Justice League the “worst experience.” He then went on to say, “It was awful. It was everything I didn’t like about this. That became the moment where I said, ‘I’m not doing this anymore.’

Fisher’s issue with Warner Brothers was put into the public back in July 2020. The actor has made numerous claims of racism and misconduct allegations against directors Joss Whedon and Geoff Johns.

Justice League, Peacemaker Cameos

James Gunn had previously addressed the absence of Batman and Cyborg. Concerning the lack of the two characters, Gunn goes on to say, “You know, I don’t know what I can- there are reasons for it, but I’m actually uncertain whether I can say what those reasons are.” He then continued to say, “It might have to do with future stuff.” However, Gunn never mentioned that possible cameos were filmed for both DC heroes.

Despite missing some fan-favorite character cameos, the finale for Peacemaker has seen record-streaming numbers. The last episode, “It’s Cow or Never” became the highest viewed episode on HBO Max to date.

The entire first season of Peacemaker is available to stream to HBO Max.
