Comedic actor Adam Sandler receives Mark Twain Prize for comedy on Sunday night. He was cheered on at the ceremony by several of his co-stars including Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, and many more.
It’s not very easy to remain relevant after so many years in the entertainment industry, especially as a comedic actor. However, Adam Sandler didn’t catch the memo and has been a trailblazer since he first burst into the scene in the early 90s.
The 56-year-old first caught the eye as a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995. Since then he has gone on to star in several Hollywood flicks that have grossed over $3 billion worldwide.
Some of his most notable comedic features include “Happy Gilmore,” “The Waterboy,” “50 First Dates,” “Blended,” “Murder Mystery,” and many more.
Sandler is currently filming “Murder Mystery 2.” The film sees that actor and co-star Jennifer Aniston reprise their role from the first installment. It is part of a four-movie deal he signed with Netflix in 2020 — worth up to $275 million.
