Skilled craftspeople love to celebrate movies and video games by recreating characters, costumes, and more. As we are weeks away from Starfield, Adam Savage and his team are celebrating by building a model of a ship. In a sponsored video by Bethesda, the former MythBusters co-host and his team make a miniature of the upcoming RPG’s Frontier ship (see below).
Adam Savage and Team Build Starfield Ship Miniature
Building nerdy miniatures or props is nothing new for Adam Savage, but when Bethesda asked him to do this Starfield project, he had ideas on how to executive it. The objective was not only to make the ship but to make it with motion controls to make it more cinematic. It took weeks to craft and overcome any issues that popped up.
The hour-long video is the first part of an unknown number of episodes to show how this was accomplished. The team used digital assets that needed to be cleaned up before printing a 3D model. You can see how they brought the NASApunk ship to life.
Adam Savage and his team building a Starfield ship is nothing new for him. He has had a history of creating cool nerdy things on his YouTube channel. He has created some cool items recognized by fans of nerd culture. He has made a helmet from For Honor, a lightsaber, Hellboy’s Samaritan pistol, The Mandalorian’s Amban blaster rifle, and more.
This is only the start of what anyone would make based on Starfield, as Adam Savage will not be alone. Between Elder Scrolls and Fallout, Bethesda fans have had a long history of making incredible cosplays based on these worlds. This September, we will have more to look forward to on what creative people can bring to life.
