Adele gushed over Doja Cat at her latest Las Vegas concert. On Friday, Sept. 22, the “Easy On Me” singer continued her Weekends with Adele residency by performing another show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. At one point, Adele paused her concert to praise the rapper’s fourth studio album, Scarlet, which dropped earlier that day. After hearing what Adele had to say about Doja Cat, fans of both stars began begging for a collaboration.
Adele Shows Love Toward Doja Cat’s New Album “Scarlet”
In a video captured by a fan who attended the show, Adele can be seen sitting at her piano wearing a gorgeous black dress as she discusses Scarlet. “I’m a huge fan of Doja Cat and her new album,” Adele said, which caused the audience to erupt in cheers. The singer then continued praising Doja Cat by saying, “I think she’s just fantastic. I think she’s great and she’s really, really, interesting.”
While Adele and Doja Cat’s music couldn’t be any more different, that didn’t stop fans from wanting the stars to collaborate. “I wonder what a collab would sound like,” one person wrote in response to the video. “COLLAB! SONG NOW!” another commented.
This isn’t the first time Adele has shown support for another major star during her Las Vegas residency. On Aug. 25, the singer also gave a shoutout to Miley Cyrus’ “Used to Be Young.” During her show, Adele said she’s “always” been a fan of the Disney alum and hasn’t been able to stop listening to her latest release. “I am obsessed with Miley Cyrus’ new song,” Adele said. “[It] might make me tear up now. I absolutely love it. I think it’s amazing.”
Adele still has 13 more concerts left until she wraps up her Las Vegas residency on Saturday, Nov. 4. Meanwhile, Doja Cat is set to embark on her Scarlet tour on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The trek will conclude two months later on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
