The passengers made their way away from the plane and stood at a distance. The man who was recording panned the environment, then turned the camera back to himself. He explained that they were on their way from Fairbanks to Coldfoot and then to Anaktuvuk when something went wrong with the plane, forcing them to crash-land in the bush. While he was speaking, the other passengers began to applaud the pilot, and he joined in. The man walked towards the point where the plane first impacted the ground, and showed the distance it traveled before it finally stopped.
As reported by Local 12, the passenger, Brett Fillipi, stated that the plane had lost power during the flight, and the pilot informed them that he was looking for a place to land. The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed that all 9 passengers and the pilot survived without injuries. Fillipi shared that another aircraft spotted them within 30 minutes, and they were rescued about two hours later.
