In Age of Wonders 4, players can unleash their magical prowess to do all transformations in an entire race into a force to be reckoned with. Minor Race Transformations in Age of Wonders 4

Discovering Race Transformations in Age of Wonders 4 can be likened to discovering the key to a magical library. Once you pick the Tome of Magic, you’ll need to use your Knowledge Points to research and unlock them. With 15 Minor Transformations available to apply to your races, divided among the 6 Affinities, the possibilities for creating a truly unique and powerful Faction are endless. So, get your thinking cap on and your wand ready, and let’s unlock the secrets of the Tomes to transform your races into unstoppable forces in Age of Wonders 4.

Affinity: Astral in Age of Wonders 4

Leverage the power of the Astral Affinity in Age of Wonders 4 with these two incredible Minor Transformations. With Magical Wards, your army can withstand the fiercest elemental attacks with more Resistance against Lightning. With Astral Blood, you can increase your Critical Hit possibility by casting combat spells. So, when your enemies think they’ve got you cornered, unleash the power of these Spells and turn the tide of battle. You won’t miss these fantastic advantages with just 150 Mana and 150 Points for Magical Wards and 250 Mana and 250 for Astral Blood.

Affinity: Chaos in Age of Wonders 4:

It’s time to unleash your chaotic inner strategist with the Spawnkin Minor Transformation. With this Tome of the Horde, you can swarm your enemies with a horde of small but deadly units, allowing you to overwhelm your foes with sheer numbers. You’ll also gain a massive 20% damage boost, making your army even more lethal. Just be careful, as this transformation is ill-matched with Supergrowth.

With Reveler’s Heart, your Chaos Faction can party like there’s no tomorrow and fight like yesterday. This Tome of Magic boosts morale from all sources, allowing your units to keep up their fighting spirit despite overwhelming odds. So celebrate the chaos of battle with a wild revelry that will leave your enemies quaking in fear. Just don’t forget to bring your Tome of Revelry.

Vessels of Chaos from the Pandemonium is perfect for those who love to spread negativity on the battlefield. With this transformation, you can turn your opponent’s misfortune into your advantage by dealing more damage on your attacks for each negative status effect on the enemy. This transformation piles up to three times, so the more negative status effects on the enemy, the higher the damage output. With Vessels of Chaos, you’ll surely be on your way to becoming the most notorious and feared ruler in the Age of Wonders 4.

With the Scion of Flame Transformation from the Tome of Chaos Channeling, you can turn your units into fiery machines of destruction. They gain more Fire Resistance and immunity to burning, and enemies foolish enough to attack them in melee range will be burned by the Vengeful Flames ability. And with the Fiery Wake ability sets the ground ablaze with each step, ensuring your enemies have nowhere to run.

Affinity: Materium in Age of Wonders 4

In Age of Wonders 4, players can delve deep into the Materium Affinity to unleash their magical abilities and transform their units into powerful beings. For example, with the Tome of Rock, players can turn their units into Earthkin, boosting their defense and allowing them to take refuge in rocky terrain. In addition, it allows units to head down swiftly across rocky terrain, quickly getting them to their destination.

With the Tome of Transmutation, players can cast Steel Skin, granting their units even more excellent defense and resistance to blight and lightning. Not even Thor himself could break through that kind of defense!

For those who like to add a little bling to their armies, the Tome of the Golden Realm offers the Goldtouched transformation. Not only do units gain resistance, but they also produce extra gold for each population in their cities.

Affinity: Nature in Age of Wonders 4

Nature Affinity Minor Transformations allow players to tap into the power of nature itself to enhance their armies. For example, with Animal Kinship: Tome of Beasts, players can increase their units’ damage and critical hit. This makes their already formidable forces even more deadly. Leafskin: Tome of Glades allows units to move quickly and take refuge in forest terrain. This turns them into forest-dwelling guerrilla fighters. And with Supergrowth: Tome of Vigor, players can create rigid, hearty units with increased health and retaliation attacks. Of course, this is perfect for defending against enemy attacks.

Your opponents won’t understand what hit them when they’re clawed and bitten by an army of ferocious beasts. And Leafskin’s forest camouflage ability can give players the element of surprise. This allows them to launch surprise attacks from within the trees. Supergrowth may decrease the number of entities in the unit, but the resulting brutal, beefed-up soldiers will surely strike fear in the enemy’s hearts.

Affinity: Order in Age of Wonders 4

Ah, the Order Affinity Minor Transformations, for those who like things just so. Anointed People from the Tome of Sanctuary grant you not one but two resistances, more Status Resistance and more Spirit Resistance, ensuring that you’ll always be ready for any eventuality.

Affinity: Shadow in Age of Wonders 4

Meanwhile, the Shadow Affinity Minor Transformations are for those who prefer to spread misery and despair. For example, with Joy Siphoners from the Tome of the Doomherald, you can steal three Morale per each hit. This will surely put a frown on even the cheeriest opponents. And finally, for those who don’t mind the cold but want to feel like a true winter warrior, the Frostling Transformation from the Tome of the Cold Dark is perfect. With more Frost Resistance, Frozen Immunity, and in Cold terrain more Morale, you’ll be ready to face any ice-covered challenge that comes your way. With Arctic Walk, you can move quickly and gracefully over any frozen terrain, making you a true master of the winter wonderland.

Major Race Transformations in Age of Wonders 4

Age of Wonders 4’s Major Race Transformation reigns supreme in transformation magic. Except for Materium, each Affinity boasts a Major Transformation accessible. However, these top-tier spells come at a heftier price tag, 600 Mana and 600 Points.

Affinity Astral: Major Transformation

The Astral Attunement Major Transformation from the Tome of Astral Convergence lets your units pass through walls like a ghost. Plus, it increases your Knowledge per population and Mana. So why settle for breaking down walls when you can walk right through them?

Affinity Chaos: Major Transformation

This transformation turns your units into flying, frenzied beasts with immunity to burning and the ability to easily traverse desolate terrain.

Your units become increasingly powerful with each strike, making them a dominant presence on the battlefield. However, this transformation can be expensive, so have sufficient Mana and World Map Casting Points at your disposal.

Affinity Nature: Major Transformation

They say that Gaia’s Chosen is nature’s elite. They are the ones who eat their greens and are in touch with their roots. This Major Transformation Spell from the Tome of Paradise takes that to the extreme. It gives your units the Charge Resistance they need to take on even the most electrifying enemies. Plus, with extra Status Resistance and Hit Points, Gaia’s Chosen is ready to hold their ground and take a beating. All it takes is 600 Mana and 600 World Map Casting Points to ensure your units have the green thumb.

Affinity Order: Major Transformation

This potent spell grants the unit the coveted Celestial type. It comes with the perks of flying and reduced upkeep costs, thanks to its exact nature. And don’t forget about the bonus of looking down on your enemies from above while your angelic army rains justice upon them. Plus, your units will be nearly invincible against Shock unit attacks with Charge Resistance and more Status Resistance. Keep them away from demons, as we know how celestial beings fare against those hellish creatures.

Affinity Shadow: Major Transformation

Transform your army into a horde of undead with Shadow’s Major Transformation, Wightborn. With the power to drain life from their enemies and restore their own temporary HP, your units will be nearly unstoppable on the battlefield. Plus, with the Undead unit type, they’ll never need a bathroom break or complain about long marches.
