In the Special Program for Version 4.5 of Genshin Impact, HoYoverse unveiled the Chronicled Wish Banner, a new system to obtain characters in the game. According to official information, this banner will rotate constantly and feature a different variety of characters, such as nation-specific ones. Since this banner allows players to choose characters they might’ve missed in the past, knowing who’s the best one to bring home is crucial before you spend your Primogems.
Genshin Impact: Characters Chronicled Wish Banner Ranked
In this first version of the Chronicled Wish Banner, Mondstadt characters are the ones who’ll take the spotlight. This means you’ll see party members such as Eula, Mona, Diluc, and many more. While all of them are great in their own way, only a few are worth pulling for, and we’ve ranked them all to help you choose before the fated day arrives.
6. Klee
The personality and design of this little witch are charming and funny, but the reality of her gameplay is different. Of course, it depends a lot on your play style, but for Klee’s abilities, you need a lot of precision and be very close to the enemies. Klee’s survival capabilities aren’t the best, so bringing a shielder is crucial. Furthermore, she can be her own bane due to the grass she’ll light up on fire while attacking, making her a true hazard to the Anemo nation. Also, her kit is limited by her constellations. Having her in C0 won’t benefit you at all, and even at C6, there are better Pyro users. Overall, we feel this little lady isn’t worth your Primogems.
5. Jean
As a character, Jean is better as Support thanks to her bonuses and healing, which makes her ideal for characters like Xiao or even Furina. However, better Anemo supports exist, such as The Wanderer and the coveted Kazuha. If you don’t have a 5-star Anemo user, she’s a good choice. However, we feel it is better to pick any of the abovementioned ones instead of this lady. Besides, Jean is part of the Standard Wish banner, so you could get her eventually. She’s also known as the pity-breaker of many, so that’s another reason to skip her in this banner.
4. Albedo
The most recent discussion in Genshin Impact is whether to go for Albedo in the Chronicled Wish Banner or the Geo characters from 4.5. One of the features that stands out about this alchemist is his lore, which is related to Gold and Khaenri’ah. But talking about Albedo’s gameplay as a Sub-DPS makes him versatile and an ideal character for mono-Geo team compositions. We recommend pulling for Albedo only if you have a main Geo DPS such as Itto or Navia. If not, skip him.
3. Diluc
The Darknight Hero is an enigmatic character with a dark past. He is in charge of the Angel’s Share and protects the city of Mondstadt at night. Diluc is another character of the Standard Wish banner, but many probably also got it by losing 50/50. Diluc was one of the most popular characters at the launch of Genshin Impact, but he eventually fell very low in the rankings. However, thanks to Xianyun, Diluc rose like a phoenix. Once again, players can use Diluc’s devastating plunging attacks in the latest version. The lack of 5-star Pyro characters is real for many gamers, so consider getting this crusader for your team if you don’t have a fiery DPS member.
2. Eula
Eula is among the most sought-after waifus and the most challenging to obtain. This Knight remained in banner oblivion for a maximum of 42 weeks. Her last banner is not long gone, but now that she’s back and you didn’t manage to get her before, this is your chance. Eula is a great DPS, and although she uses the Cryo element, she excels at doing physical damage. Her playstyle is extremely different from the one many Travelers might be used to. Instead of elemental damage, you’ll rely on pure physical attacks; it isn’t challenging but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
1. Mona
This astrologist is always an excellent choice for various compositions, as her skill provokes enemies while applying the Hydro element. Furthermore, with her Burst, Mona increases the damage caused by your team’s attacks. Also, using Mona in a team comp of Permafrost or Dendro reactions will make your fights easier. If that wasn’t enough, Mona features one of the best exploration boons: her sprint animation. She becomes one with the water and allows you to traverse the map with ease.
If you are a meta player, you should check each character’s team composition and builds to see how their rotations work. However, if you just want to fill your Genshin Impact-dex (patent pending), pull for the one you like the most. There’s no shortage of husbandos and waifus, so don’t be afraid to add these Mondstadt beauties to your roster.
