In A Dusty Trip, not only are you concerned with surviving this hellscape of a Roblox game, but getting as far as possible before you inevitably bite the dust. You need speed on your side to get anywhere quick enough, which means fitting your car with the right engine for the job. There are a couple to find throughout A Dusty Trip, but thereโ€™s only one that is the best among them all.

[Updated February 27 – Added six more engines and expanded on what the best engines are.]

I4 Engine (The ‘Default’ Engine)

The I4 Engine is the very first engine youโ€™ll come across in A Dusty Trip and is no doubt the worst of them all. It will get you from point A to point B with no problem and even get you over the big gap in the bridge at 5000m.

One important note for the I4 Engine is that it runs on gas; it does not run on diesel. If your car has diesel in the tank, open it up and let it drain!

Carbureted Engine

Out of the two gas-powered engines, the Carbureted Engine is the best. For starters, your top speed is now 140mph, which is a significant jump from the I4 Engineโ€™s 80mph top speed. Vroom, Vroom!

As soon as you encounter the Carbureted Engine, I highly recommend replacing the I4 Engine. I usually encounter it after the second or third stop, but since A Dusty Trip is somewhat random, your mileage may vary.

V8 Engine

With a top speed of 160mph, the V8 Engine ekes past the Carbureted Engine in terms of performance. Youโ€™ll first need to get your hands on enough diesel to actually make use of it, though.

In my own experience, the V8 Engine isnโ€™t a rare occurrence; in fact, I frequently find it after just a couple stops, usually alongside the Carbureted Engine, too.

The Devilโ€™s V8 Engine

And then thereโ€™s the Devilโ€™s V8, which could easily be mistaken for the I4 Engine. Its top speed exceeds that of the normal V8 Engine by a wide margin, with no apparent top speed. As long as you keep your vehicle straight and youโ€™re free of obstacles, you can go as fast as you need to. However, you won’t come across one of these until you’ve reached the 15000m mark.

Classic Bus Engine

The Classic Bus Engine doesn’t spawn in A Dusty Trip, but is purchased through the Classic Bus. After that, you can fit it into other cars, but only the Vantage, Classica, and Classic Jeep.

As for performance, the Classic Bus Engine is a gas hog, but it does have an exceptional oil tank of 50L. If you do use the Classic Bus Engine, it’s best to use it with the bus so you can benefit from the 50L radiator, too.

Classic Jeep Engine

The story with the Classic Jeep Engine is the same as the Classic Bus Engine. It’s terrible on gas, just the the bus engine. To make matters worse, it only has a 5L oil tank.

If you fit it to the Classic Jeep, at least you can reach 80km/h, but so can the I4 Engine. Really, the Classic Jeep Engine only has any real value unless it’s fitted to the Classic Jeep, with its bulletproof body and extra gas cannisters.

Demonic Engine

Do you want to accelerate as fast as possible? Then the Demonic Engine is your choice of machinery. It’ll help your vehicle reach top speeds incredibly fast, but there is a catch: it has the highest fuel consumption of any engine.

For reference, the I4 Engine consumes 23L (every 10km). The Demonic Engine drains 100L in the same distance. That’s over four times as much for, what, better acceleration? It’s no worth the cost.

Electric Motor

The Electric Motor is one of the most unique engines in A Dusty Trip, given that it doesn’t take gas but electricity. However, its ‘fuel consumption’ is a bit high. You’ll drain the battery by half every 10km. There is a trade off though.

As long as you’re driving during the day, the Electric Motor will charge itself (using a solar panel). That’s pretty cool! Once nighttime hits, it won’t, so you’ll have to hunker down during the night.

Quadbike Engine

The Quadbike Engine is one of the most fuel-efficient engines in A Dusty Trip. The problem is, it can only be used with a limited number of vehicles, but the trade off is totally worth it. At just 3.6L per 10km, the Quadbike Engine can really stretch its fuel, so you won’t have to worry as much about hauling a bunch of gas cannisters around.

If you have the Vantage (that’s the default van you can choose at the start), strapped with the Quadbike Engine, you can travel incredibly far on a full tank.

V12 Engine

Like the Quadbike Engine, the V12 Engine is also very efficient, second to the Quadbike Engine. There’s just one itty-bitty problem: you won’t find it anywhere but inside the Warbringer, nor can you remove it and put it in something else.

Another problem is the Warbringer has a 60L tank, which means you’ll only be able to get 55km on a full tank. That is pitiful!

Roblox: What the Best Engine is in A Dusty Trip, Explained

Out of the four engines in Roblox A Dustry Trip, the Devilโ€™s V8 is hands down the best in the business. Its performance is awesome and deserving of the name.

With that said, the Devilโ€™s V8 isnโ€™t obtained until much later in the game. To make matters worse, it runs on diesel which is seemingly harder to come by. This is the same problem youโ€™ll face with the normal V8 Engine, too.

The two runner-ups are the Quadbike and Electric Engines. However, since the Electric Engine is only useful for EVs, it’s a tad niche. Oh, and the Carbureted Engine is a good choice, too!
