Let’s face it: one main reason players are returning to any HoYoverse game is its cast. This company has created some of the most memorable characters in years, and Genshin Impact, being its most successful game, has some of the most beautiful party members one can ask for. With Fontaine finally appearing in Teyvat, people are ready to spend their hard-earned Primogems to add everyone to their roster. Since we agree, we’ve ranked all Genshin Impact 4.0 characters in this article.
Genshin Impact 4.0: All Fontaine Characters Ranked
First, we must mention that this is our personal list. While some people might have a different opinion regarding the new characters of Genshin Impact 4.0, this is our ranking based on gameplay and design. With that out of the way, let’s begin!
5. Freminet
It hurts us to place Freminet in the lower spot on the list. He is a fantastic character with an original design that only gets better the more details you spot. He’s the smallest sibling to Lyney and Lynette and the most introverted of the bunch. He enjoys time alone, diving into his thoughts, and diving anywhere else. Anyone who saw the trailer might’ve seen that, despite his reserved personality, the kid packs a punch with his claymore. It’s still uncertain what role he’ll play in the story, but we can’t wait to learn more about him.
Regarding gameplay, Freminet wields a Claymore and uses the Cryo element. It’s still uncertain what role he’ll play, but given his weapon, we imagine he’ll be a DPS-focused character, which will be great to match all the Hydro characters coming with Fontaine.
4. Lyney
This guy has more than meets the eye, making us think he isn’t hiding only bunnies in his hat. If you’ve played the game’s story, there are many more things to learn about Lyney and his reasons for being in Fontaine. Yet, he isn’t higher on the list because his sister has a much better and more beautiful design. Still, since he’s the first official 5-star character from Fontaine, many might consider pulling for him if they need a new Pyro archer for their team.
3. Lynette
Lyney’s assistant and sister. While she is a girl of few words, her design is one of the cutest we’ve seen. It is sad to see she is the 4-star character of the two, but she’s still a fantastic addition to anyone’s team, and thankfully, you can get her for free. One thing that has raised many eyebrows is her behavior, which points to Lynette being strange. We say something because there are theories of Lynette being a robot or something else, yet we’ll have to wait for the story to unfold to uncover these mysteries.
2. Wriothesley
Wriothesley has a name that we have not been able to pronounce yet, but he makes it up with a fantastic design that has the fan base going crazy. His reveal happened not long ago, and players have already been craving him to become a playable character. All we know is that he is Fontaine’s jailer, and some leaks point to him wielding the long arm of the law quite literally. We haven’t seen him in the main story yet, but he might show up sooner rather than later due to how things are going.
According to leaks, Wriothesley might be a new Cryo/Catalyst user, making him one of the most sought-after characters in the game. Yet, this information hasn’t been confirmed, so let’s take this with a grain of salt.
1.ย Neuvillette
The number one of our Genshin Impact 4.0 characters list goes to Neuvillette. It takes a quick peek to see why we put him here. He controls the Court of Fontaine, and his personality shows why. He didn’t need much screen time to show he’s a force to be reckoned with. Besides his fantastic design and great choice of voice actor, he holds much more power than we think due to him beating the ever-living vision of one of the fan’s favorite characters. Hopefully, we’ll get to see him in action soon.
