As it makes relationships between family and friends tighter than ever, you can fully dive into the joys of having an infant. This not only includes helping them reach important milestones but also unique personalities. In The Sims 4 Growing Together, you will deal with infant quirks. We’ll detail everything about these quirks so you can prepare for what’s to come.
All Infant Quirks in The Sims 4 Growing Together
Infants can be a bundle of fun thanks to the Growing Together expansion pack. You can do plenty more with them including taking them just about everywhere thanks to the new baby carrier feature.
One important feature is quirks. In The Sims 4 Growing Together, infants will have three unknown quirks.
The game puts both quirks and traits together. However, if you hover over one of them, you will see which is which. You only discover the quirks once the behavior occurs. Before we get more into that, let’s look at all the known quirks for infants in the game:
Infant Quirks | What it Does |
Early Riser | The infant tends to wake up at sunrise. |
Gassy | The infant’s tummy issues can make them fussy. |
Good Appetite | Easy to feed as they eat all types of food. |
Feeding Tinkler | Might use the bathroom while eating. |
Free-Air Tinkler | May pee on the caregiver while changing, which causes the caregiver’s hygiene to decline. |
Hates Wakeup Time | Can wake up angry. |
Frequently Sneezes | Infants that sneeze a lot can cause more germs around the house. |
Happy Spitter | May spit while eating. |
Loves Sounds | Appreciates sounds in music, TV, etc. |

Hates Being Held | Doesn’t like being held, more so by non-caregivers. |
Little Babbler | Extremely talkative. |
Loves Being Held | Reacts positively to being held and negatively to being put down. |
Frequently Hiccups | The more they hiccup, the more gas in their tummies. |
Loves Wakeup Time | Wakes up happy. |
Messy Eater | Might make a mess on themselves while feeding. |
Picky Eater | Fussy with food. |
Self-Soother | Can calm themselves down when upset by putting fingers or toes in their mouth. |
Snuggly Sleeper | Will instantly cry if just set down to sleep. Loves being held or in a carrier to sleep. |

So, what if you have three difficult infant quirks in The Sims 4 Growing Together? Well, like in real life, you’ll have to cope. Infant quirks encourage you to adapt how you approach parenting.
Of course, in The Sims 4 Growing Together, you can always use a cheat if you want specific infant quirks.
First, make sure cheats are turned on in the first place. Enter the command ‘testingcheats true’ to turn them on.
Now, with that said, let’s get to work on those infant quirks. To cheat your way through it, choose any of your sims and select ‘Pack Cheats’. From there, choose ‘Expansion Packs’ and then ‘EP13: Growing Together’.
Click on ‘Infant Quirks’ and choose from the following options:
- Remove Quirk
- Add Discoverable Quirk
And then do with the quirks as you see fit. Of course, if you love the unknown, you will want to leave the infant quirks in The Sims 4 Growing Together as-is. Otherwise, you can change things up to see different aspects of the game.
