Yes, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will release on November 10, 2023. Activision has officially announced that the next Call of Duty game will be a direct follow-up to the current MW2. And you can even bring most of your gear and weapons from MW2 to Modern Warfare 3.
What Is Modern Warfare 3 About?
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reveal teaser and story trailer have focused on Makarov more than anything else. The story of MW3 starts right where it left off after the MW2 Campaign and the Raid Atomgrad episodes. In the final acts of the MW2 story, we figured that Hadir is a commander of Al Qatala. But after a conflict between him, Captain Price, Alex, and Farah, Hadir died while his final words were “The Real Russians are coming.”
The Real Russians are in fact the new Konni Group ultranationalists who have arrived in DMZ as well. This group is probably led by a Makarov or another high-ranked commander. But MW3 has Vladimir Makarov as the main villain so far. In the end credit scene of MW2, Makarov left a No Russian message, which is quite a bloody reference to MW2 2009, wherein he kills many civilians at Zakhaev Airport. Will that happen again? We’ll have to wait and see after the Modern Warfare 3 reveal event.
When Is the Modern Warfare 3 Reveal Event?
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reveal event starts on August 17, 2023, at 10:30 AM PT in Warzone 2. This event is called the Shadow Siege in Warzone 2 and is about how the Shadow Company is going to handle the Konni ultranationalists. The Konni Group soldiers have shown a presence since the beginning of Warzone 2 Season 5 in DMZ. And they’re seeking to take control of the Al Mazrah under the command of Makarov.
In the cinematic trailer of Warzone 2 Season 5, we see Philip Graves, commander of Shadow Company, make a return. He unites forces with Farah and Alex in Al Mazrah to fight the new Konni ultranationalists threat. But how? The Warzone 2 Shadow Siege reveal event is going to show exactly how the Shadow Company soldiers are going to fight the Konni Group in Zaya Observatory. In fact, a rumored plan is to destroy this POI with rockets being shot from different angles. However, we need to wait and see.
The Modern Warfare 3 reveal event is a Warzone 2 event that you can play for free with up to four players. Just like the other modes, you can bring your friends to play this together, or you can play it with randoms.

Modern Warfare 3 Open Beta Release Date
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 open beta is rumored to start on October 9 and 10, 2023 for particular platforms. This beta continues on October 15 for free access on all platforms. It is presumed that this beta will feature a few Multiplayer mode maps from MW3, and it’ll showcase the new gear and elements in the game. However, we can expect to see a brief amount of the MW3 story as a prologue in this beta as well.
