How To Get the Pirate King’s Treasure in FF7 Rebirth
The four Grottoes hiding the Pirate King’s Treasure in FF7 Rebirth cannot be reached by land, and you must use Tiny Bronco to discover secluded docks. The game provides you with a treasure map that you can use to guide your way, but some players may still struggle to find these areas.
Pirate’s King Grotto Alpha
The first Grotto is located on the southwest side of the map and southeast of Gongaga. The monster protecting this area is Ogre Raider, which is weak to the Ice element. Here are some moves you can use:
- Ice Impulse
- Snow Flurry
- Blizzard
As the battle progresses, the boss will unleash several roars to increase its attack. Its power will be maxed out when it roars for the third time. You may want to cast Barrier or Protect on your DPS to reduce damage. Once the mini-boss is dead, you can claim the Pirate’s King Treasure in FF7 Rebirth from the treasure chest.
Pirate’s King Grotto Beta
The second Pirate King’s Relic can be found on the southeast side of Junon. The Brineborn Demon protects this Grotto and can unleash Gravity magic in battles. You must use Fire spells or abilities when it enters Counterstance mode. If you manage to stagger the monster, the boss won’t be able to cast Graviga on your team.
Pirate’s King Grotto Delta
The third Pirate King’s Treasure in FF7 Rebirth is located on the northwest side of Costa del Sol. Hueyacoatl is an electric dragon that is weak against Wind. The boss alternates between Low Voltage and Supercharged states while constantly emitting electricity.
You can pressure the monster by using a powerful move when the monster is in the Supercharged state. However, be careful because Hueyacoatl will counterattack by unleashing a paralyzing electric magic.
Pirate’s King Grotto Epsilon
You can find the last Pirate King’s Treasure in FF7 Rebirth by heading northeast after defeating Hueyacoatl. The mini-boss protecting this Grotto can cast Fire magic despite being called Sea Dragon. It can also use Galvanizing Flames to unleash powerful counterattacks, but you can stop and pressure the monster by poisoning Sea Dragon.
Once the boss is pressured, you must use Lightning-based attacks to fill the Stagger Gauge. Here are some moves that are effective against Sea Dragon:
- Static Shock
- Electric Impulse
- Thunder
After claiming the four Pirate King’s Treasure pieces in FF7 Rebirth, you can go to the Item Transmuter menu to craft Corsair’s Compass. This accessory can divide your ATB Gauges into three after using five types of commands.
