Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is an open-world game with impactful narrative choices. As you progress through the main story, Skif will face various situations where he needs to decide between siding with which factions. Since there are no real good guys in the Zone, betraying a group is a relatively easy choice, especially if they’ve tried to manipulate you in the past. However, players need to understand that there are points of no return in Stalker 2, which may impact your ability to obtain missable items or quests.
Stalker 2: Point of No Return and Missables
You need to be aware of two big points of no return before starting your first Stalker 2 playthrough. The first one is the Extreme Simplicity mission, which requires you to visit the SIRCAA region. This chain quest will greatly impact the environment in the zone, and you may miss some side missions if you haven’t completed them.
Before heading to SIRCAA, I recommend completing all quests that you can accept in Zalissya, Quite, and Icarus. Your narrative choice in this main mission will impact your relationship with several factions. I actually failed to discover Quite base before I completed the main missions in SIRCAA, and now I can no longer access the side quests at that location.
A major event will also occur in Zalissya after you finish the main missions in SIRCAA. I won’t get into too much detail, but things will get dire. So, all the early side quests in this area will automatically fail if you haven’t finished them first.
The second point of no return you will encounter in Stalker 2 is the Down Below main mission. You will get this quest near the end of the game. Once you progress this mission, you won’t be able to explore the Zone since you must complete the game until you reach an ending. All incomplete side quests will be canceled, so ensure you are done with everything before moving forward.
