Like any other great RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features some points of no return where you get locked from the open-world gameplay you’ve grown used to. One of those is quite short, while the other lasts longer and will require you to be cooped up for a while. Since these moments are important, we’ll talk about them so you can finish every other quest before moving on to these crucial story beats.

Trosky’s Point of No Return

The first point of no return in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 occurs in the Trosky region, more specifically before the “For Victory!” quest. That means that if you’re doing the “Necessary Evil” quest, you should explore the region and finish other quests because it will take a while before you can return to Trosky. Yes, here is where you change to another region, too. I won’t spoil much about the following quests, but once you start “For Victory!” there will be a total of four quests you need to complete before returning to Trosky, so keep that in mind.

Kuttenberg’s Point of No Return

The next point of no return in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 occurs almost at the end of the game and is the most crucial one. In truth, once you start this quest, you won’t be able to roam freely until you complete the story. Fortunately, you can still explore the map and complete most quests, except for the timed ones. This point of no return happens during the “Oratores” quest. This quest is quite long and has a lot of objectives and outcomes. To be more precise, you’ll be locked from the open world once you return to Ruthard Palace after ambushing the Papal Legate. At this point, try to complete everything, especially optional quests, because you can fail some once you decide to advance the story.

From what I experienced, taking the point of no return in Trosky doesn’t fail any quests. However, when I took the Kuttenberg one, I failed three quests, so try to complete everything before the latter. Furthermore, you should equip Henry with the best items you have, as there will be a lot of fighting before the final quest.
