One of the best things about Dying Light: The Beast is how it places many unmarked safes across the maps and sends players on a scavenger hunt to look for their elusive codes. Some of these safes contain useful items, such as rare valuables to sell, while others can even reward you with a powerful weapon or a brand-new armor piece. Since there are so many of them, we’ve made a quick list of where you can find every safe in Dying Light: The Beast, as well as every code you need to open them.

Note: We’re actively playing the game and looking for more safes, so we’ll update this guide as soon as we find more.

Every Safe Code in Dying Light: The Beast

SafeLocationCode
Old Town Apartment Safe with the dog paintingBetween the two restaurants near the Town Hall. You can leave the Town Hall and head west to locate it. 14-11-20
Safe inside the orange hotelAt the Orange Hotel near Nate’s Supermarket Dark Zone. You can easily find it by looking at the “Hotel” sign on the side of the building. 7-6-1
Mathematical experiment safeIn the street where the green hotel is. You can find it west of the Railway Station on your map.15-22-40
Safe inside the Industrial Pumping Station. The Chief Engineer’s safe can be located by going through the Hydro-Puzzle quest.27-01-15
Safe inside the robber’s hideoutThis is another safe you can easily find just by following the ‘Last Wish’ optional quest. 20-07-06
Safe inside the School Dark ZoneYou can find this Dark Zone in the Villa Area. It is a level 6 area, so don’t rush toward it just yet. 5-40-90
Music Store SafeHead to the Villa Area and look for the building with the safe, which is close to the Vanity Store. Use your Survivor’s Instinct to locate it.02-02-19

Finding safes in Dying Light: The Beast, along with their codes, can be quite challenging, especially since most of them aren’t part of any quest. As a general rule, always spam your Survivor’s Instinct. While it won’t mark the safes, it will mark some notes with an Investigation icon, which tend to lead to these items. Also, if you’re not sure about what the code is or are struggling to find the solution, listen to the safe. If you are close to the right number, you will hear a “clicking” sound, meaning that you’re close to finding the right combination.

Last but not least, remember that, while the special items inside safes, such as armor and weapons, only spawn once, you can still loot the safe again in co-op sessions, which is great if you want to farm some valuables.
