Whenever a new RPG game launches, players rush to it in hopes of creating a character they enjoy roleplaying as. While Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader provides players with many options to create their ideal protagonist, there are some things that might be confusing, such as the stats or Characteristics, as the game calls them. With many of them bombarding you as soon as you fire up this game, it is important to know which does what if you plan to survive in this galaxy full of terrors.
Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader โ How Stats Work
Even if the game calls them Characteristics, they are essentially stats and work similarly to other cRPGs. You have those that increase your attack power, others that determine how easy your character can dodge, and so on. Learning about them will make building characters much easier and let you know which party members need a certain stat increase.

When building a character, we recommend focusing on the first five stats since they reflect how powerful a party member is. After that, focus on the last ones because they also affect certain skill checks outside of combat. Thankfully, the gameโs easier difficulties make building a character more forgiving.
