As you explore the Fae Realms of Nightingale, you will end up being troubled by various status conditions. Some occur when you don’t take enough breaks, while others can happen because of the hostile magical environment. Most of these conditions can be debilitating fast if you do not realize it. Knowing what these statuses do and how to counter their effects is vital if you want to become a veteran Realmwalker.
Nightingale: All Status Conditions and Their Effects
Tired / Fatigue Effect
Always keep an eye on the blue Rest meter on the bottom-left part of your screen. If your character is tired, their max stamina will be reduced and regenerate much slower. You can take a Short Rest on a Bed during the day or a Long Rest and skip a night to restore your Rest meter. Drinking Restful Potion will help you stay awake and stave off this Nightingale status condition longer, too.
Hunger Status Condition in Nightingale
The Hunger mechanic is a staple of any survival game, and Nightingale is no different. Run around the Realms without eating anything, and your character will starve to death. A low Hunger meter, the green-colored one, will also affect your health regeneration. So always stock up on food while traveling, with cooked meals giving you better and longer benefits. And don’t worry, food won’t spoil in this game!
Hot Environment
Oftentimes, your character will feel Hot when traveling across the desert biomes. Once you’re afflicted with this status condition, your stamina will be cut by 50% and regenerate slower than usual. This Nightingale status condition can be alleviated by pulling out your Umbrella, standing below shades, or drinking Frosted Potion.
Cold Environment
Run around during the night, and your character is bound to get Cold. When the status effect meter hits the maximum amount, your maximum HP will be cut by around 30%. You’ll want to look for a fire source like a Torch to quickly warm up your character’s body and remove the condition.
Wet Status Condition and Its Effect in Nightingale
The Wet status condition will be afflicted if you’re drenched, either from rain or plunging into the water. Similar to Hot, when Wet, you lose half your stamina, and it regenerates slower. You can take shelter or stand near a Campfire to heal the status. Otherwise, always carry an Umbrella when you’re traveling.
Hail Status Effect
Sometimes, rain can turn into Hail, and ice pellets will fall from the skies. Worse than being Wet from raindrops, Hail will slowly chip away at your HP and equipment’s durability! Quickly take out your Umbrella and look for shelter if it starts raining ice.
Disease / Poison Status Condition in Nightingale
Swimming in green, dirty swamp water can make your character sick from being Diseased. When the Disease meter is full, you’re Poisoned, and your health will slowly decrease. Drink a Curative Potion to heal this status condition.
Injury Status
Nightingale also has a limb Injury mechanic, which affects your character’s performance when exploring and in combat. For example, if you forget to slow down your fall with an Umbrella, you can break your legs. Thankfully, you can restore any Injuries by consuming Injury Salve.
Curse Status
There is a Curse or Blight, but it’s not known what kind of debuff will affect players from this. Nevertheless, this Nightingale status condition can be removed by drinking a Purifying Potion. We will update this segment once more information has been known.
Nightingale is available on PC via Steam.
