Like most Mario games, Super Mario RPG Remake is no stranger to hidden items and rewards. These items and rewards can be found throughout the game in hidden chests. There are a total of 39 of these chests that can be found around the map. To make finding them easier, we wrote out the location of each one below in detail. Get your controller ready because you’re going to be running around for a while.
All Hidden Chest Locations In Super Mario RPG Remake

As we explained, there are a total of 39 chests. Obtaining each of them is as follows:

| 1 | Mushroom Kingdom | When you first step into the Mushroom Castle with Toad as your guide, do a little hop onto his head. Once you guys reach the door to the throne room, make a jump toward the area above the doorway. Give it another hop, and voila! You’ll reveal a sneaky chest. | Frog Coin |
| 2 | Mushroom Kingdom | Go downstairs in the Mushroom Kingdom Shop and speak with the Toad there. He’ll talk to you about the hidden chests and in the tutorial, will reveal one to you. | Flower |
| 3 | Mushroom Kingdom | In the same room as the above chest, hop on top of the Toad in the corner of the room to reveal another chest. | Flower |
| 4 | Bandit’s Way | In the second area, go to the red flower, and from it, jump to the blue flower on the right. The hidden chest is just about in between them both. | Croaka Cola |
| 5 | Rose Town | When in the Rose Town Shop, jump onto the bookshelf behind the counter and walk to the end. Jump to reveal the chest. | Frog Coin |
| 6 | Rose Town | Go to the house at the north end of town and inside, go upstairs, and jump on the bed to reveal the chest. | Frog Coin |
| 7 | Forest Maze | In the starting area, go to the left side of the open space and jump to reveal the chest. | Croaka Cola |

| 13 | Pipe Vault | In the area with the Pirahna Plants, enter the second pipe from the left in a row of six pipes. In this area, jump down to reveal a hidden platform with a hidden chest at the very end. | Frog Coin |

| 15 | Yo-ster Isle | In the area with the save block and the pipe, go to the small area just in front of the save block where the bushes are. Jump to reveal the chest. | Frog Coin |
| 16 | Booster Pass | In the first area, keep jumping until you reach the highest point. Here, jump where the cactus is to reveal the hidden chest. | Flower |
| 17 | Booster Pass | In the same area as the above chest, go right and jump to the next hill. Jump to the top corner of the next highest area to reveal the hidden chest. | Rock Candy |
| 18 | Booster Tower | In the area with the Snifits, go to the top of the stairs and go to the second tile to the right in the right corner. Jump to reveal the chest. | Frog Coin |

| 23 | Sunken Ship | In the room that has another Mario, hit the bright spot in the middle of the room to reveal both the J chest and the hidden chest. Jump on top of the other Mario to reach the hidden chest. | Croaka Cola |
| 24 | Land’s End | In the first area, go into the cannon and aim to get to the yellow platform with the black dots. Here, go to the top corner of the same level as the top of the yellow platform and jump. | Red Essence |
| 25 | Land’s End | In the second area, find another yellow platform and use the cannon to launch yourself there. At the left corner of the platform at the top of the yellow platform, jump to reveal the chest. | Croaka Cola |

| 27 | Land’s End | In the cave underneath Sky Bridge, head to Kero Sewers and keep going until you find a Chow. Go to the corner at the top of this area to find the chest. | Frog Coin |
| 28 | Land’s End | Inside Belome’s Temple, after having your fortune read, you’ll reach a room with two visible chests. Climb them both and jump to reveal the hidden chest. | Frog Coin |
| 29 | Land’s End | In the same room as the above chest, walk to the lowest platform and go the the corner where the two walls meet to find the chest. | Frog Coin |

| 31 | Bean Valley | At the beginning, jump into the pipe all the way to the right. In the next area, go to the corner behind the hills all the way on the right to find the hidden chest. | Frog Coin |
| 32 | Bean Valley | In the area with the five pipes, defeat the Piranha Plant at the lower right pipe and go inside. Go all the way to the end of the hallway and jump in the middle area towards the end. | Croaka Cola |
| 33 | Bean Valley | In the same area as above with the five pipes, defeat the Pirahna Plant all the way to the right and go into the pipe. Go toward where the yellow bricks are. Don’t climb the bricks and, instead, go to the corner of the divot right before it and jump to find the chest. | Red Essence |
| 34 | Nimbus Land | Go to the Nimbus Land Shop and go to the top of the boxes behind the shopkeeper. Jump at the end of the boxes to reveal the chest. | Frog Coin |
| 35 | Nimbus Land | In Nimbus Castle, after defeating Valentina, you to the top corner of the room with the three doors, next to the bird cage, to reveal the chest. | Frog Coin |
| 36 | Nimbus Land | Enter the middle door in the room with three doors. Then, after defeating Birdo, go to the next room, jump on top of the visible chest, and reveal the hidden chest above it. | Frog Coin |
| 37 | Nimbus Land | In the hallways with the three doors, enter the one all the way on the left and follow the area until you go down some stairs. Near the entrance of the room with the save block, jump along the edge of the wall until you find the chest. | Frog Coin |
