The First Descendant has officially launched with a plethora of talented voice actors taking on incredible roles. Each character is so well-done that we felt it only natural to write out exactly who is behind them. Believe it or not, many of the actors don’t have a huge background in gaming voiceovers. Let’s dive into all of the voice actors behind The First Descendant.

Tracy Wiles – Guide

The Guide is the Descendant’s source of contact throughout the game and one of the title’s most important characters. She’s played by Tracy Wiles, who has quite a resume ranging from radio to television, stage, and film. Wiles is best known for her role as Jaheira in Baldur’s Gate 3 and the television show Doctors.

Rebecca LaChance – Bunny

Bunny is the quick-talking and fast-paced Tracer-like character in The First Descendant. She’s one of the first characters you interact with in the game, next to the Descendant you choose to play and the Guide. She’s played by Rebecca LaChance, who is also Sena in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Jessica in Arknights.

Doug Cockle – Ajax

Doug Cockle is one of the better-known actors on this list, being the video game voice for Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher franchise. In the upcoming film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, he will also reprise his role as the white wolf. While active as a television actor, he is primarily a voice actor and has roles in many games within the industry. Recently, he played Robert Nightingale in Alan Wake 2.

David Menkin – Lepic

David Menkin also has a long resume in television, film, and video games. In gaming, he can be recognized as Luke Skywalker in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Barnabas Tharmr in Final Fantasy XVI. His lengthy film credits include Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix and The Hammer of God in The Sandman.

Maria Louis – Viessa

Maria Louis is known on television for her roles as Shelley in EastEnders and Aldona in People Just Do Nothing. She appears in various games like Cyberpunk 2077, Babylon’s Fall, and Desta: The Memories Between. Louis is also prominent in commercials and other voice-over roles, as described by her website.

Laurence Bouvard – Gley

Laurence Bouvard has been in the industry for a while. She was the titular Robotboy in the cartoon Robotboy as well as additional characters. Bouvard is also the protagonist, Joanna Dark, in Perfect Dark Zero, which just recently had a remake announced. Most recently, she played Jennifer in Terminator: Resistance.

Natalie Simpson – Sharen

Natalie Simpson’s career is more well-known in the theater industry, but she has had one familiar role in video games: Shakella in Horizon Forbidden West. She’s also been in the shows Trigger Point, North Sea Connection, and Outlander.

Joshua Wichard – Jayber

Joshua Wichard has been in lots of video games, but his voice has been featured in several films and shows. He’s popular for playing the Tav 1 voice lines in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Solo, the Chosen Hero in the English version of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. In film, he recently did some motion capture for the Barbie movie.

Josh Cowdery – Blair

Josh Cowdery has had a few film and television roles, but he’s better known in video games. His vocal cords’ work can be found in Killer Frequency as Forrest Nash and in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga as Poe Dameron. In film, he had a brief stint in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Agent Tyler, part of S.H.I.E.L.D., and was in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as Henry Shaw.

Sharlit Deyzac – Freyna

A theatre-lover, Sharlit Deyzac is the prolific voice of the poison-wielder Freyna. Her voice can also be found in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 as Alexandria and Jenny LeClue – Detectivu as Veronica. Within the theatre world, she’s acted with The Markham Agency for nearly 20 years and acts as the Director of Voila! Theatre Festival.

Matt Rippy – Kyle

Matt Rippy is a prolific actor whose had roles in films like The Dark Knight, Black Beauty, and Rogue One. As a voice actor, The First Descendant is among the first video game voice roles he’s taken on, and he is doing an incredible job at it.

Kaja Chan – Valby

Another actor turned voice actor, Kaja Chan has had prominent roles in television shows like Cracow Monsters as Hania and Absentia as Kai. Her video game resume is still impressive, with Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty as various voices and Foamstars as Soa. The First Descendant is quite literally her third role within the voice actor realm.

Shenoah Allen – Esiemo

Shenoah Allen is known by many as a comedy legend who has worked in television, film, games, and stage performances all over the world. He’s landed different television roles on Urban Myths, The Johnny and Inel Show, and video games, including Star Ocean: Anamnesis as Hal and Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 as Agent Phil Coulson.

Chan Woo Lim – Yujin

Chan Woo Lim is well known for his role as Jeong- Soo Han in Holby City, with several credits in other popular television shows. As for video games, his resume includes a few incredible entries, including Homefront: The Revolution. If there’s something a little familiar about him still, he played Dr. Cho’s assistant in Avengers: Age of Ultron, making him another actor on this list within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Shai Matheson – Enzo

Shai Matheson has many video game credits, including Wuthering Waves, Final Fantasy XVI, Triangle Strategy, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and more, alongside being an actor in The First Descendant. Unlike most of the actors on this list, his television and film credits resume is not that long, preferring to focus on games and voiceovers.
