AMD has used its AM4 platform for six years, and that socket platform needed to change. As good for the users, AMD released many processors compatible with that socket platform, and we didn’t need to change the motherboard when we changed the processor. But a new socket platform and the new-generation processors were a must for more performance. We’ve heard a lot of rumors and official announcements from the company, and finally, AMD announced the date for the full details we’ve been waiting for. Here’s when is the event that AMD will unveil their new AM5 socket platform and the new generation Zen-4 architecture-powered processors.
AMD offered a big advantage for users who want to upgrade their AMD processor. Their competitor Intel has changed the socket platform many times, and it caused compatibility problems for the users. After six years, the company and the users are ready for the new generation.
AMD Will Unveil The Zen 4 and AM5 Powered Processors This Month
The new platform AM5 has built-in compatibility with new standards like DDR5 and PCIe5. These are new technologies that maximize performance. The platform is the playground, and the Zen 4 architecture will give life to the upcoming Ryzen 7000 series. The upcoming processors from AMD and Intel are much more powerful than others. We should expect a significant performance bump, making us play games with higher frame rates. AMD will reveal the details on August 29th at 7 PM ET.
On the other side, Intel’s Raptor Lake series impressed us with the performance improvement. Both processors will bring a bump because the DDR5 works faster than the previous generation and helps the processor work faster. The combination between DDR5 and the new generation processors is the key to a new generation. This fall will be a great season for the performance lake of gaming.
