Former American Pickers star Frank Fritz has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke. The Wrap reports that Fritz’s former costar Mike Wolfe posted the news on Instagram “Frank, I pray that you make it through this okay,” Woolfe posted. “I love you, buddy.” American Pickers airs on the history channel and has aired for 23 seasons and 343 episodes. Fritz joined in 2010 before leaving in 2020 to deal with health issues related to his back and Chron’s disease. Like many in the media industry, such as Danny Bonaduce and Wendy Williams, Fritz’s health appears to be problematic for his career in television.

Wolfe’s post marks a major turnaround reading his relationship with Fritz, as the two were feuding earlier this year. Fritz had been upset by a statement Woolfe gave regarding Fritz’s exit, and he said he was “fed up with past lies.” According to People Magazine, Fritz claims he was fired from the series after checking into rehab for alcohol abuse. He also slammed Wolfe for not calling to see how his back was doing. Regardless, Wolfe wished Fritz luck when he left the show and appears genuinely concerned for his former costar’s well-being.
Fritz and Woolfe worked closely on American Pickers, traveling the country in search of artifacts and antique treasures. Fritz’s stroke came exactly one year after his departure from American Pickers was officially announced.
The severity of Frank Fritz’s stroke is unknown. Strokes can be related to matters ranging from brain aneurysms or concussions. Frankie Muniz has suffered from ministrokes resulting in memory loss, and Emilia Clark has dealt with complications from brain aneurysms. However, the severity of Fritz’s situation still hasn’t been detailed.
