While these past years have reminded us how important indie spaces are, they seemingly still creep into main stage spaces. While the gaming industry stagnated and struggled this last year, indie titles remained strong. As a matter of fact, the deduction murder mystery game Among Us was probably the most unexpected hit. Originally released in 2018, the title was relatively niche in its own genre. Opening up the debate to more consoles starting with Switch late last year, InnerSloth is certainly paying attention to what fans are asking for. With recent development updates hinting at bigger lobbies, more art, and colors; it seems natural that the game would come to more platforms. Announced during Sony’s State of Play today, Among Us will launch on PlayStation platforms later this year with special cosmetics featuring Ratchet and Clank.

When Does It Release?
With the accusations coming out to more and more platforms recently, PlayStation 5 seems like a perfect fit. While the rumors surrounding the title’s more exclusive features through mods on PC are prominent, it does seem that InnerSloth has plans for all platforms. With the year almost being halfway done, InnerSloth is more than likely waiting for a few more content updates to launch before an official consoles release. To ensure a good launch on these devices, having substantial content additions not yet present is essential. It’s possible that InnerSloth could be aiming towards a Q3 fall release. Whilst the extent of the new updates have yet to be shown, there is definitely plenty to be excited for.
