Amy Robach’s friends are concerned for her amid her relationship scandal with T.J. Holmes. Amy and T.J. Holmes’s romance, which stirred a backlash when it broke out last week, has them worried. Find out more about why they are worried below.
Amy Robach’s Friends Fear For Her Heart And Career
Amy Robach’s friends are afraid T.J. will break her heart and negatively affect her career amid their romance scandal. An insider told Us Weekly:
“Amy’s friends fear he’s not only going to break her heart but also ruin her career.”
The co-anchors made headlines when photos surfaced on Wednesday, November 30, that showed them getting cozy on multiple occasions.
During one outing, the coworkers, who are both married to other people, were seen laughing at a bar. Another picture showed T.J. playfully touching Amy’s backside while she was loading a car.
A source revealed that T.J. and Amy’s relationship “blossomed from a close friendship,” adding that “they always had a spark and their work trips away together brought them even closer.”
The journalists took the day off when the news broke out and returned on air the following day but didn’t address the rumors. However, ABC removed the co-anchors from GMA’s third hour on December 5 for the foreseeable future amid their relationship scandal. They will be temporarily replaced by fellow ABC News anchors Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez.
“Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have the day off,” Stephanie explained during Monday’s broadcast.
A source also revealed that the GMA team knew of Amy and T.J. Holmes’s romance for a long while. The insider revealed that the pair arrived to work every day, like every other day. However, the Good Morning America staff knew something was up because the duo was always playful around each other.
The source added that the coworkers didn’t keep their romance secret anymore as everyone could see what was happening.
Amy And T.J. Holmes’s Spouses Didn’t React To Romance Rumors
Surprisingly, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig have not directly responded to rumors of Amy and T.J. Holmes’s romance. The Michigan native and the former CNN reporter both got married to their respective spouses in 2010.
The reporter has two daughters, Ava, 20, and Analise, 16, whom she shares with ex-husband Tim McIntosh. She is also the stepmother to Andrew’s three children: Nate, 26, Aidan, 23, and Wyatt, 18, from his previous marriage. However, Andrew has since wiped Amy from his social media accounts.
T.J. Holmes, for his part, shares daughter Brianna and son Jaiden with his first wife Amy Ferson, whom he divorced in 2007. He also shares a 9-year-old daughter, Sabine, with Marilee. Marilee has a private Instagram profile and has remained silent over the matter.
Amy and T. J. Holmes repeatedly called themselves consenting adults amid their romance rumors. Therefore, Amy Robach’s friends should not worry too much about the consequences of Amy and T.J. Holmes’s romance.
