Conner Floyd is famous for playing Chance Chancellor on The Young and the Restless. Since November 2021, the actor has played the son of Nina Webster and Phillip Chancellor III. Floyd had big shoes to fill taking over the role of a legacy character, but fans quickly welcomed him. But now speculation about his future is in question after viewers noticed something odd during a recent episode.

Conner Floyd’s Name Is Missing From The Young and the Restless Credits

In the two years he’s been on The Young and the Restless, Floyd has been in major storylines. His character Chance has returned after being presumed dead, divorced his wife Abby Newman, and had a brief romance with Sharon Newman.

Recently, Chance has undergone many changes. He quit his job at the police station and became a business executive at Chancellor-Winters. He also began dating Summer Newman, and was there to support her during her stepson Harrison’s kidnapping.

Chance is a main player on the CBS soap opera, but are his days in Genoa City numbered?

On the May 8, 2024 episode, viewers noticed Floyd’s name was missing from the closing credits. It seemed strange and it’s sparked speculation if the actor is leaving. On a Soaps.com message board, fans discussed the possibility of Floyd’s exit.

One fan wasn’t ready to jump to the wrong conclusion:

It could always be an oversight.

One commenter was worried about the actor leaving:

That’s what I would have thought if he was never there. Not if they actively took him out. Maybe he has chosen to leave and they will recast him. His character is needed.

Another viewer isn’t ready to believe the rumors:

Nothing has been stated about CF’s status. We would’ve learned by now. He’s not leaving as far as I’m concerned.

So far, there’s been no news about Floyd’s status with The Young and the Restless. For the time being, he’s still part of the show and fans can still enjoy seeing him as Chance.

But if by some chance, the actor does leave, one must wonder how they’ll handle his exit. Will they immediately recast Chance? Or will they let him leave Genoa City for a while or maybe permanently?
