Andy Cohen, host of The Real Housewives franchise, publicly apologized for rumors spread about the Princess of Wales prior to her shocking cancer diagnosis. For months before Kate’s big announcement, the public had been speculating as to her whereabouts, most of all Cohen, who repeatedly claimed videos of Middleton were produced using AI. “That ain’t Kate,” he said of a video showing Prince William and Kate Middleton in Windsor.
“I just want to say, I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate,” the Watch What Happens Live host said on Monday’s broadcast of his SiriusXM show, Andy Cohen Live.
Cohen Takes Back Rumors About Kate’s Absence
“I think someone on Sky News called me a ‘numpty’ during that whole conversation and they were right.”
“I wish I’d kept my mouth shut,” he continued. “We are all praying for Princess Kate and King Charles.” Just a month prior to Kate’s heartbreaking message following abdominal surgery, it was revealed that King Charles III had also been diagnosed with some form of cancer, although Buckingham Palace are keeping the details under wraps.
King Charles is resting under supervision of his medical staff, whereas Kate has started preventative chemotherapy to hopefully nip her cancer in the bud. His Majesty has been absent from the public eye lately, leaving Queen Camilla to attend Sunday’s Easter ceremony alone.
Cohen found particular cause for concern with a video showing Prince William and Kate Middleton shopping at Windsor Farm. Later that week, Cohen stood strong behind his theory, claiming on an episode of his Daddy Diaries podcast, “Those weren’t photos from the farm stand. … The captions on those photos said Kate pictured last August, blah, blah. It’s a lie.”
Cohen Also Shamed Prince William For An Alleged Affair
In the same vein, Cohen gave a voice to rumors that William had an affair with Lady Rose Hanbury. “It all seems to come back to this lady Rose who he’s had an affair — who he allegedly had an affair with,” Cohen said. “Don’t forget he broke it off with [Middleton] after they dated for years and sowed his wild oats for a time and then went back to her.” Hanbury’s lawyers, however, denied the allegations.
Cohen even went so far as to say William was “his father’s [son],” as King Charles III had cheated on his then-wife, the late Princess Diana, with Queen Camilla.
