There are many anime crossover games on Roblox, but few plays like Anime Switch. Aside from offering a unique gameplay perspective, this game also puts focus on its character-switching feature. You can select up to three of your favorite anime characters and then switch between them in battle during strategic moments. Before you start your journey, let’s learn all the basics in our Anime Switch beginners’ tips and tutorial guide!
1. Anime Switch Beginners Tips: Health Is Shared, Stamina Isn’t
This should be the first thing you should notice when dropping into a mission. When in combat, one health bar applies to all your Switches while the stamina meter does not. So you will want to always keep an eye out on the HP bar even if you keep switching out units. Since all characters have different skills to cover different scenarios, limited stamina shouldn’t be much of an issue. You will want to frequently switch between units often and utilize all of their skills.
2. Anime Switch Combat Tutorial: The Basics You Need to Know
This game works like a top-down shooter; you walk with WASD but aiming is done through mouse movement. It can feel awkward but there is an obvious advantage to this kind of control scheme. You can easily kite enemies while still attacking them; for example, backstep as Law then bait enemies into your Zone and unleash his skills. Don’t forget you can also dodge any incoming attacks or when ganged up by pressing Space!
While you might be tempted to destroy any barrels you see for Gold Coins, it’s best to hold that thought. Barrels and destructible objects also contain a refill for HP and stamina. Considering you can backtrack and run away from bosses, keeping them for emergencies can be beneficial. Not to mention that the Gold Coins you get also don’t have any current function; you cannot buy items or Trait Tokens with them. On the other hand, though, Verda Coins are used as revive tokens for when you die.
3. Which Stats You Should Focus On?
Anime Switch offers three different stats when leveling up your units:
- Ability: Increases skill damage.
- Usage: Increases stamina or energy bar.
- Strength: Increases M1 damage.
We suggest focusing on Ability and/or Strength if you’re not sure where to put the points. As mentioned above, the stamina bar isn’t shared between characters. While this means you won’t be able to spam skills on one character, dealing bigger damage is more important. Because at the end of the day, you will want to switch between characters often anyway.
4. Anime Switch Tutorial: How to Further Upgrade Your Units
Aside from leveling up the 3 stats, you can upgrade your units through Traits Reroller and Evolutioner at the Hub.
First, Trait Reroller can help you add a passive bonus skill to any of your units. Ranging from increased critical attack chance and faster dash cooldown to HP steal ability and buff to all their stats. However, you will need to spend special Tokens to roll Traits which can be obtained through codes, Gadget Gacha, or bought with Robux:
- 1 Token: 100 Robux.
- 5 Tokens: 499 Robux.
- 25 Tokens: 2,400 Robux.
- 50 Tokens: 4,500 Robux.
- 100 Tokens: 8,999 Robux.
Meanwhile, Evolutioner will help you Awaken a unit if possible, unlocking more skills and making them more potent in battle. In case you have a couple of the same units, you can also merge them to raise a unit’s level.
5. Set Your Spawn Point with the Save Stone
After you’ve finished with Cut Island, you can travel to other islands to tackle tougher challenges. You should find a Save Stone on each island which dictates where you’ll appear the next time you log in. Interacting with the Save Stone also lets you teleport between islands, making traveling between them fast.
6. Anime Switch Beginners Tips: Infinite Stage Mode, Explained
You can unlock the Infinite stage mode on any island by completing all five stages first. It’s the game’s survival mode of sorts, it starts easy and the difficulty keeps ramping up the more stages and bosses you beat. The boss will appear every 5 levels defeating them will allow you to progress to higher difficulty. This is the best way to raise your units’ level and farm Evolutioner units.
7. Anime Switch Gem Tutorial: Always Claim Tasks for Free Gems
Speaking of farming, collecting tons of Gems is important in this game as it allows you to summon Switches often. One of the best methods to get free Gems in Roblox Anime Switch is by completing Tasks. Accessible from the left sidebar, Tasks are basically daily, general, and periodic side quests. As an example, one Task might ask you to defeat 20 Marines while others can be completed by doing Switch summons.
8. Always Go Into AFK World for Free Gems
Aside from from clearing out Tasks and using codes, going into the AFK World is a good way to gain Gems too. When you’re going to the toilet or heading out for a bit, just go idle there and generate free Gems. Well, maybe don’t do it in your sleep though, as running your gaming device all night will just waste your electricity bill.
9. Anime Switch Beginners Tips: Save Your Gems for The Best Units You Should Own
Lastly, as I mentioned Gems, we also have to talk about Switch summon. If you’re aiming for meta units, Roblox Anime Switch banners rotate every 1 hour. You’ll want to save your Gems for when the best units have a higher chance to appear. Below we have listed the six best units that are worthy to be a part of your party.
