Anna Duggar has broken her silence after two years. The wife of Josh Duggar — the 19 Kids and Counting star who fell from grace and served time in prison — has disappeared from social media in the time since her husband’s conviction. Recently, she made her return, and for a reason many didn’t expect.
Responding to the news of former President Donald Trump’s conviction in his hush-money case out of New York, Anna tweeted in a show of support for the likely Republican nominee.
Many were shocked to see that this, of all news, would compel Anna to return to her public platforms. It’s not the first time that the Duggar family, or even Josh’s family, has shown support for Trump. While some were happy to see her speak out in line with her values, others were quick to bring Josh’s crimes into the conversation.
Josh Duggar is currently serving a 12½-year sentence for two charges of knowingly receiving and possessing child sex abuse materials.
Anna Duggar No Longer Lives With The Extended Duggar Family
Following Josh’s sentencing, the Duggar family kept Anna and the couple’s seven children close. That changed, however, after an alleged family feud in 2023 led Anna and her children to move away.
For a while, there was speculation that Anna was moving to Texas with the kids to be closer to Josh, who is serving his time at the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Seagoville. However, sources claimed Josh didn’t want his family moving to Texas.
It’s unclear where Anna lives with the children now, as she has continued to lay low up until her recent tweet. Her reappearance has ignited interest in people who have long followed the family. Many are curious how she is holding up as, functionally, a single mother of seven kids between the ages of 2 and 14.
