The popular game Firewatch is celebrating its anniversary for the fifth time. Back in 2016, a fair amount of people were excited to play. And developers were excited to show them the results of their hard work. They had also released it for the Nintendo Switch two years after the initial release. Now that the game is five years old, developers wanted to celebrate with fans.

Firewatch developers were excited to celebrate the fifth anniversary. But they didn’t just want to share a simple anniversary message. It may not be new content, but fans are sure to appreciate it. Developer Campo Santo shared their sentiments with a tweet:

It is certainly a treat for fans to see conceptual artwork. But it’s not typically a regular occurrence, even on anniversaries. Most developers add any concept to a special edition of a game. It seems, though, Campo Santo felt longtime fans deserved to see the art that gave birth to Firewatch. Also, they shared something else. Players may not have been aware, but Campo Santo also shared an easter egg from the Switch version of the game.

An even more rarely seen piece of Firewatch: How closely have you dug into the Nintendo Switch version of the game? Have you truly completed everything on that cart? pic.twitter.com/CmQGpswzXY

There is an Easter Egg in the Switch version that grant gamers access to a ‘platform’ version of the game. But this anniversary reveal from the Firewatch developers can only be accessed a certain way. Completing everything on your list on Nintendo Switch and you’ll have access to this neat little mini-game.

Keith Calder and Jessica Wu, producers are known for The Wackness and Bunraku, are making a game based on the much-beloved title. Keith also joked with reporters when asked about his project: “I’m excited they’re going to let us ruin their game by turning it into a movie and/or tv show.

Firewatch is available for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Are you a fan of the Firewatch game? What do you think of the upcoming movie? Let me know in the comments!
