We must admit that a large percentage of fans of HoYoverse games are obsessed with the meta. However, some seem not to be if it involves a lot of time and money invested to have the best character builds. Besides, passing the meta means winning many more pulls. This led the Zenless Zone Zero meta players to realize that many of them have a common opinion, and that is to use the Anomaly characters to the maximum, even more than the other Agents with different roles, such as Attack or Stun.
On Reddit, several Zenless Zone Zero players came to the same conclusion about what is ideal for combat and characters for the meta, and that is to use Anomaly Agents. Even a lot of players have left aside the rest of the combat types and teamed up mostly with Anomaly characters, all for the same reason:

Sure, many have been carried away by the hype in the latest banners, which have featured several S-Rank characters from Anomaly, such as Jane, then Burnice, and more recently, Yanagi.
I agree we are seeing a lot of anomaly characters but the good part is that you don’t have to get all of them. Zzz has been great at mitigating fomo in my opinion. Yes Anomaly is currently the best dps. As people realise that, we are getting an anomaly in each element so you can pick what you want

She was one of the first Agents of Anomaly, although she is now very much ignored due to the new characters, even though she is still a handy unit. If you don’t have another Anomaly either, you should give this driver a chance in your teams. Besides, we shouldn’t all follow the same recipe for our roster or teams. You can get the same results with all types of characters. The important thing is to know how to use them and give them a little push with a good build and the right W-Engine.
