When Respawn first announced that they working on a new game, many believed this new title would be Titanfall 3. Instead, Respawn announced a free first-person battle royale called Apex Legends; Apex Legends was created to compete against Fortnite, P.U.B.G, Call of Duty, and other battle royales. Alongside Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, Respawn had a successful year in 2019. Since its release Apex Legends has been rather successful with a community of over 70 million players. Yesterday, Respawn announced a new version of season 7 titled Apex Legends: Stories from the Outlands – Fight Night. The trailer gives a Noir feel as Victor Maldera looks for answers.
After an incident in a diner, ex-officer turned security guard, Victor Maldera, has a mystery thrust upon him. A patron is killed by Pathfinder after he defends himself. Malta City’s elite task force has been sent to recover Pathfinder. Throughout Fight Night Pathfinder will learn about his mysterious creator and why the Mobile Robotic Versatile Entity (MRVN) designated scout zips around the battlefield.
Through the information gathered from Pathfinder, Victor has gained new information that will help him hunt down Alexander Nox aka Caustic. Emilia Parquette is the secondary focus of the video after Caustic is confirmed alive; for those who are unaware, Emilia Parquette is Watson’s mother. This reveal deepens the game’s lore without answering many questions. So look for new clues about Pathfinder and Caustic around the map.

Apex Legends: Stories from the Outlands – Fight Night update is out now. Players can jump on either to their PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, or PC via EA Play or Steam to battle across the outlands. Remember Cross-play is available across all platforms so you can play against or with your friends. Apex Legends has exceeded expectations since its release and continued new content only makes the gameplay more enriching.
