Fight or Fright Apex Legends
This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information.

It looks like Apex Legends is going to be celebrating Halloween in a very special way. Twitter user Shrugtal recently discovered code which talks about an apparent event called Fight or Fright.

The code lays out there will be several Fight or Fright packs, as well as an “heirloom bundle” for at least one of Apex Legends‘ characters. The interesting portion of that part of the code is that for now, it appears only Lifeline will be getting whatever the heirloom bundle is.

It turns out, the only way to get this bundle, according to the picture in the posting, is to obtain and unlock all the other Fight or Fright collection pack cosmetics. There is, of course, no indication of how long or how much it will take to accomplish that.

Yeah there's a Halloween event coming called Flight or Fright on a (map?) called Shadowfall – https://t.co/dxqnpF7wtl pic.twitter.com/0D1xv8BL2U

If the name wasn’t enough to make it clear it was coming this month, the fact that it’s clearly slated for Season 3 certainly should. Players of the popular shooter were already plenty excited for the October 1 launch of the third season. The idea there will be seasonal events should only ramp that excitement up a notch.

Alongside Fight or Fright is something called Shadowfall. Some have guessed this is a new map.  The language in the code could also be talking about a new game mode.

Shadowkills and LegendKills are both mentioned in the new Apex Legends leak. That would seem to indicate players will be going up against some kind of new enemy. There’s also an accomplishment where players can “win as a Shadow.” There’s an accomplishment for winning as both a Shadow and a Legend as well.

Zombies and spiders are also mentioned in the newly discovered code. Finally, an accomplishment in Fight or Fright pointing to escaping on a drop-ship shows up as well.

The event is almost certainly coming to Apex Legends soon.  That means we should have more details on Fight or Fright in the very near future.
