Apex Legends has long reigned supreme among some of the best battle royale games out there. When a game takes Titanfall’s signature side and gives it that BR twist, who can complain? Since its release last February, the game has seen several new seasons filled with heaps of content to explore. With the release of Apex Legends on Steam early next month, it’s a great time to bring a new season into the fray. Apex Legends‘ seventh season, titled Ascension, releases November 4 on all platforms. You can check out the backstory trailer for the newest legend, Horizon, below.

Apex Legends | Stories from the Outlands – “Promise”

Horizon brings a story of desperation and hope to Apex Legends. With her home of Olympus in the midst of an energy crisis, Dr. Mary Sommers was contacted for a mission to save her people. She had to leave her son behind, promising to return after she had saved their home. When she’d gotten the crystals though, a betrayal sent her near a black hole. While she was able to return home, she’s lost in time, leaving her with not many options. She hopes that through Apex Legends’ Apex Games, she can find a way to reconnect with her son and honor her promise.

While we don’t have much on Apex Legends’ newest character, we do know that her robotic companion N.E.W.T. will accompany her. She could offer up some interesting new abilities, but she isn’t the only thing coming with the seventh season. Her home of Olympus joins World’s Edge and King’s Canyon, offering players a new space to roam and learn. You can venture around this space with the Trident vehicle, fitting up to three players for a little run and gun action. Of course, there’ll be the introduction of Apex Legends to Steam, but also clubs so like-minded players can form a group. These join the usual new Battle Pass and Ranked seasons.

There’s a lot to be enjoyed here, and you won’t have to wait too long. Apex Legends‘ seventh season is just over a week away, so get your weapons ready Legends. What are your thoughts on Horizon? Excited to see what Olympus has to offer? Let me know in the comments below!
