Arcane’s Second and Final Season Bids Farewell to Vi and Jynx, But Not The League of Legends Universe

The end is nigh

In what is a bittersweet type of situation, Arcane has unveiled a teaser for its second season but also confirmed it’ll be the final one. While many of us would love adventures alongside Vi and Jynx, all great stories must end. Plus, and this is my personal opinion, it is better to tell a short but impactful story than fill it with unnecessary plot details. So, grab your rockets, rifles, and gauntlets because Arcane‘s favorite champions arrive in November.

The next episode of this “family drama” is reaching new and perilous heights. After the explosive cliffhanger from season one, an all-out war is coming, and it seems no one is safe. Those with keen eyes will spot familiar characters from the game who debuted in the first season and a few new ones coming in a few months. While we’d love to see some of them get even more screen time in the future, the feedback for a second and final season for Arcane has been quite positive. Furthermore, the show’s co-creator said the following in a small video you can watch here.

Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey. Their arcs [Vi and Jynx] have grown so far beyond our original dreams for them, and we want to give the same treatment to more champions.

Christian Linke. Co-Creator of Arcane.

Also, Linke mentions they are working on other projects across television and films, and we’ll likely get updates on that by the end of the year. So, for those hoping to see their favorite League champions on the small or big screen, you can expect that to happen soon. Who will see next after Vi and Jynx’s story is over remains a mystery.

Thankfully, the roster of this legendary MOBA game is huge, so there’s plenty to choose from. For now, all we can do is wait for the November release of Arcane‘s second season coming to Netflix. And for those still capturing those lanes, update 14.12 launched a few hours ago, packed with champions’ adjustments, the induction of a pro player into the Hall of Legends, and more.
