Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Are There Any Missable Quests in The Game? Answered
(Updated on October 1, 2024 – updated links and format)
Just like in Breath of the Wild, there are no missable quests in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. All side quests can be completed at your leisure, whether you do them in between main quests or save them for later in the post-game. Nevertheless, the True Ending can only be unlocked once you have completed all main quests and seen all 18 Dragon Tears Memories.
Although there are no missable quests, some events in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can only appear once and cannot be replayed. For example, treasure chests on the overworld and Shrines do not respawn, even after a Blood Moon that will respawn enemies and dropped weapons. You also cannot redo quests that you have completed and have a rematch with Shrine bosses that you have beaten. This includes the enemies in Combat Training Shrines.
While that means that you should try taking photos of all enemies and bosses before beating them, there’s another way to complete the Compendium. Keep doing Robbie and Josha’s quest lines until Robbie goes back to the Hateno Village Research Laboratory. Once you have completed the “Presenting: Sensor +!” unmissable side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, talk to Robbie. You should be able to buy Compendium pictures for 100 Rupees each. As a side note, if you are having trouble completing the Shrine Sensor quest, try walking slowly and letting the machine beep for a while.

And last but not least, registered Horses cannot be renamed. So make sure that you give a proper and well-thought name for high-performing and rare Horses! Unless you can live with naming them something silly like Pinkie Pie or Shadowfax, I guess.
