Does Harry Potter Magic Awakened feature any possible romance options for players? This real-time action card-building title has a main focus on building your deck with various Spell Cards to tackle PvE missions and PvP matches. But still, Magic Awakened also features several NPCs that have a close relationship with your character. These include the energetic Ivy, the loyal Daniel, and the proud Cassandra. Thus, having the option to romance Harry Potter Magic Awakened characters would be a very welcomed feature, according to the community.

Can You Romance Characters in Harry Potter Magic Awakened?

Unfortunately, Harry Potter Magic Awakened does not feature any kind of romance options in the game. You cannot flirt and get close to the game’s original characters or fan favorites, such as Hermione and Neville. The dance class is the closest thing to a romantic sequence available in the game. In this class, you can invite other characters and fellow players to play a musical minigame and earn rewards.

You need to press the corresponding button matching the beat while you and your NPC of choice perform a fun dance sequence. Once the minigame is over, you will be graded based on your performance. The better your grade, the better the rewards you’ll receive. So if you are looking for a simple but fun way to spend time with Ivy or other characters, there is at least an alternative. But for those who want a romance option in Harry Potter Magic Awakened, this isn’t the game for such relationships.

Developer NetEase and publisher Portkey Games might also decide not to add a romantic route because of the characters’ age. While the game never directly stated how old they are, they seem too young for such activities. Nevertheless, the previous Harry Potter mobile game, Hogwarts Mystery, ends up introducing a dating feature just in time for Valentine’s Day.

On February 13, 2020, Hogwarts Mystery added a limited-time sidequest that lets players go on a date with fellow Hogwarts students. Players who have reached Year 5 Chapter 3 can ask one out of five characters for a romantic evening. With that in mind, Harry Potter Magic Awakened might also add romance options down the line.

Harry Potter Magic Awakened is available for iOS and Android.
