Ariana Grande has found herself in another controversy. Cassandra Peterson, best known for portraying Elvira, recently named the singer her “worst celebrity encounter” after allegedly experiencing a rude interaction with her. Since Peterson is such a celebrated horror icon, many fans have called out Grande for seemingly dissing “the queen of Halloween.”
In a viral video on TikTok, Cassandra Peterson told a crowd that she once met Ariana Grande. Unfortunately, their meeting didn’t live up to her expectations. According to the comedian, the Wicked star was the one who initiated the interaction when she brought her friends and family to one of Peterson’s shows. “She came and she brought 20 guests,” Peterson recalled. “So she wanted 20, 21 tickets. We’re like, ‘OK,’ and we give her the tickets.”
While Peterson was happy to give Grande the tickets, it apparently wasn’t enough for the singer. The horror actress claimed that Grande also went backstage and asked her if she could basically do a meet and greet with everyone in her party. As a fan of Grande herself, Peterson agreed. “I take a picture with every single one of them. I sign autographs for every single one of them,” Peterson said.
After taking the time to greet all of Grande’s friends and family, Peterson kindly asked the pop star for a photo in return. You’d think Grande would have easily agreed after receiving a favor from Peterson. However, it didn’t go that way. “She goes, ‘Nah, I don’t really do that,'” Peterson said.
The comedian also revealed that Grande didn’t even bother to stay and watch Peterson’s show. Instead, she “took off” while her friends and family stuck around.
Peterson’s story received audible boos from the crowd. Online, many fans also criticized Grande for her alleged rude behavior. “Who in their right mind would not take a pic with Elvira?” a fan wrote. “She should be so lucky to take a picture with Elvira. That’s insane,” another person commented. “You don’t diss the queen of Halloween Elvira!!!” another said.
