Grande was attending the Wimbledon tournament in London when she was seen with no ring on her left hand. The following day, TMZ reported it was true that Grande and Gomez’s marriage was done for. The couple, who started dating in 2020, apparently began having trouble once the lockdown was over. Gomez witnessed firsthand what it was like being with a major celebrity such as Grande. The pair only seemed to grow even more apart once Grande left Los Angeles to film Wicked in England. Although they reunited earlier this year in hopes of reconciling, it was to no avail.
Ariana Grande’s New Boyfriend Ethan Slater
While it’s rumored that Gomez has already begun seeing other people, it appears Grande is doing the same with Slater. The Broadway alum is starring alongside her in the upcoming movie adaptation of Wicked. Grande is playing Glinda the Good Witch, while Slater is taking on the role of Boq. In March, Michelle Yeoh, who is starring as Madame Morrible in Wicked, shared photos of the cast on Instagram that included Grande and Slater. In one picture, Slater could be seen with his arm wrapped around the singer.
Their new relationship comes amid Slater’s own split from his wife, Lilly Jay. The couple were high school sweethearts and dated for six years before they tied the knot in November 2018. In January 2023, Slater confirmed on Instagram that he and Jay welcomed a son together in 2022.
Since the news of his relationship with Grande went public, Slater has gone private on Instagram.
