Vanderpump Rules‘ Ariana Madix is shutting down internet trolls who have brought her previous cancer diagnosis into question. Reflecting on her battle with Melanoma, the VPR star has been open about her 2018 diagnosis, a dangerous form of skin cancer. The condition required her to undergo surgery at the time, ultimately becoming a survivor. Since then, she has utilized her platform to create awareness about the condition. She’s also encouraged fans to pay close attention to their changing bodies and get regular checkups.
Ariana Madix Speaks on Surviving Skin Cancer
In her latest Instagram post, the reality TV star put on her awareness hat once again. She utilized the platform to address trolls taking a swipe at her survivor’s story. The video showed Ariana Madix, dressed in a low-cut boat neck top, discussing her past cancer battle. She began by addressing fans who spoke about someone without actually knowing them, saying,
“People have a lot to say online when they don’t actually know what’s going on behind the scenes. ‘Why is Ariana Madix even famous It’s not like she survived cancer?’ It’s a real comment that I got. And actually, I did survive cancer.”
Ariana Madix went on to recount her Melanoma survivor’s story, describing the experience as scary. According to her, at the time, she did not realize the importance of sun protection, which may have prevented it. Having garnered more knowledge on Melanoma over the years, she now realized the need to protect her skin using sunscreen, and how important including SPF in her regimen could be.
Going further, the Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix unveiled her partnership with the sunscreen company, Elta MD Skincare inspired by her history of surviving cancer. She urged fans to patronize the brand in their effort to be more proactive with protecting their skin from the potentially harmful effect of sun exposure.
