Fans of the Assassin’s Creed series may have a reason to celebrate. It seems that Ubisoft could be making plans for another Assassin’s Creed collection.
The domain was found by NeoGAF user ekim. It seems that Ubisoft registered the domain “assassinscreedcollection.com” on December 12, 2015. As of now, the domain has yet to go live.
This wouldn’t the first time that Ubisoft has released a collection for the Assassin’s Creed series. The studio has previously released Assassin’s Creed: The Americas Collection and Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy. Ezio Trilogy included Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations all in one package. The Americas Collection included Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. These collections allowed for players to experience the games that were set in one time period.
It’s worth noting that this news could really just mean Ubisoft doesn’t want the domain to be misused. Should Ubisoft decide to proceed with a collection for the Xbox One and Playstation 4, then the domain will be at their disposal. This could also mean that Ubisoft is planning on skipping 2016 for a new Assassin’s Creed game. If the company decides to skip a new game in the series, they could release the collection and focus on what made the earliest games fun again.
The latest game in the series was Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Our very own reviewer Adam called it “Captivating.” Check out his full review here.
