Ubisoft’s upcoming Project Red title will be a part of Assassin’s Creed infinity, as well as other Assassin’s Creed games in the future.
This is according to industry insider Jason Schreier, who was discussing the future of the franchise on Twitter. He also mentioned that Ubisoft is working on 3 Assassin’s Creed titles, one of which is Project Red. Red was intended to be part of Infinity. He said:
Infinity will be a platform for future AC games including Red

“Infinity will be a platform for future [Assassin’s Creed] games including Red,”
What this means is still up for debate since Project Red could be an expansion for Assassin’s Creed: Infinity or a spinoff like Assassin’s Creed: Rift.
What Will Project Red Be?
Leaks in the past have suggested that the next Assassin’s Creed title will take place in Japan, and new rumors are saying the same, corroborating Asia as the next assassin playground. But Japan has been a rumored setting for Assassin’s Creed games since Ezio’s trilogy; it might actually be time for it to finally materialize.
Jeff Grub also said something similar in the Games Mess Decides podcast:
“I can’t confirm this, but since so much of this other stuff is true and I’m hearing this other stuff from the same source, the Assassin’s Creed coming up after all this other stuff, supposedly, or maybe it is part of Infinity, it will be much more like the RPG ones, and it’ll be set in Japan,”
According to leaks, Assassin’s Creed: Rift will be set in Baghdad, and we’ll be playing as Basim Ibn Ishaq, the assassin who gave Eivor his blade in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The story of Basim Ibn Ishaq will reportedly show how he became the mentor for the hidden ones.
Take these rumors with a grain of salt. Ubisoft is expected to confirm more details about the upcoming games on September 10, when the Ubisoft Forward event is expected to take place. Ubisoft will showcase its upcoming titles in different franchises, and Project Red or Assassin’s Creed Infinity could be one of them.
