Being able to drive a motorized vehicle of any sort really is a privilege. At the end of the day, it is very much a large, metal device that can severely or fatally injure a person if not used correctly. Various street racers in Atlanta, Georgia, decided that the lives of those around them did not matter while they raced one another and did tricks in the middle of a busy intersection. Fortunately, things came to an end pretty quickly, but I can’t imagine how things could have been if someone had been hurt.
A video recorded at an intersection in the Clayton County area of Atlanta, Georgia, depicts various street racers peeling through the intersection. The racers appear to be stopping traffic as a whole, as various bystanders left their cars to see the commotion. This must have been going on for some time because, if you look carefully, you can see that the air is foggy due to the copious amounts of smoke from the cars and their tires.
Fortunately, not long after the video begins, the bystanders and drivers can then be seen running away from the area. Why? Police sirens can be heard, and no one wanted to get in trouble. The police officers really did take their time arriving on scene, with many of the suspects having already left the area. I can only imagine the relief that the stuck drivers felt when they were finally able to leave the intersection. One commenter left a reply on the video, stating, “39 year old me is calling da po po cuz I’m literally just at the light and I probably had a long ass day and I’m tryna get home!! 🙄😤 At least we knew how to duck off when we was being childish…these new kids have no chill 😫😫.”
While the events of the video were surely dangerous, it does appear that no one was injured. Hopefully, there will be a bit more security at this intersection to avoid this happening again in the future, but something tells me that this won’t be the last we hear of this.
