Do you want to know how to use Shock in Atomic Heart? It is one of the most helpful Polymeric abilities in the game. And this guide will tell you everything you need to know about Shock in Atomic Heart. We will discuss its unlocking, usage, and the best applications and upgrades.

How to Use Shock in Atomic Heart

Using Shock significantly depends on your platform. Different devices use different buttons. Below, we listed all hotkeys to use Shock in Atomic Heart.

  • PlayStation 5/ PlayStation 4: Aim and then use the Triangle button to use Shock
  • Xbox Consoles: Aim and then use the Y button to use Shock
  • PC: Aim and then use the V button to use Shock

Even though it is the first Polymeric ability you will unlock in the game, Shock is one of the most helpful powers. It might come in handy in various in-game situations.

One of the most straightforward ways to use Shock is to unlock Mag-locks. Also, you can target cameras and various other machinery using Shock in Atomic Heart.

Even though this ability has not been created as a combat tool, players have created a way to make Shock helpful during combat. You can use it to stagger robots and then use your primary weapon or combo to kill the robot. And if the opponent has low HP, you can use Shock to kill him. Alternatively,  Shock can heal your character while fighting with a group of monsters.

Take into account that Shock doesn’t require ammo. You can use it with only one limitation – a short cooldown. But as Shock is not an extremely frequently-used ability, you won’t notice this tiny cooldown.

How to Unlock and Upgrade Shock in Atomic Heart

Shock is the first Polymeric ability in Atomic Heart, and there is nothing special about unlocking it. You only need to progress through the main storyline until you reach the mission of searching for Comrade Petrov. During this mission, you will find Nora and get Shock.

Once you have obtained Shock ability, you can interact with NORA to upgrade it. You can increase Shock’s fire range and add other valuable improvements using Neuropolymer here.

That’s it with Shock (Shok) in Atomic Heart. Even though this ability is extra helpful and powerful, you can get it even in the early game stages.

Atomic Heart is available on PS5, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming platforms.
