A video of three Florida high school seniors is going viral on TikTok after they used audio from the moment conservative activist Charlie Kirk was reportedly shot during a public event for their prom outfit transition. The clip, shared by one of the girls, @thebetteracc3, has surpassed 300,000 views and more than 40,000 likes.
According to multiple reports, Charlie died on September 10, 2025, after he was allegedly shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University. He had been answering a question about gun violence when a sudden loud pop was heard, sending the crowd into chaos.
That same audio was used in the girls’ video, where they first mouthed his words before transitioning into their prom dresses. The caption read, “are we gonna get canceled for this,” while also tagging the other girls featured in the clip.
The video has since divided netizens. Some described it as dark humor that was well executed, while others condemned it as deeply insensitive.
Netizens React to Florida Teens’ Video
In the TikTok comment section, many reactions appeared supportive. “This is incredibly not unfunny,” one person said. Another wrote, “I see nothing but good vibes here.” A third joked, “Never gets old like him,” referencing the fact that Charlie died at 31. A fourth commented, “This generation is going to heal the world 💙.”
On X, however, the tone was far harsher. After the video was reposted by @BrianAtlas, critics flooded the replies. One person described the teens as “useless,” “ignorant,” and “a waste of oxygen.” Someone else wrote, “These people are literally demons. It’s one thing to think it and another to actually make the video, show ur face and post it.” A third added, “They’ve either never faced true evil in their lives or they are so accustomed to evil that this is just another coffee break for them. Both options are equally as disgusting.”
As of now, the TikTok video is still up on the account, and none of the high schoolers featured in it have publicly addressed the backlash.
